​​​​@@curie1420 it is a good gpu, just not over built. Solid frame. Vapour chamber with 8 heatpipes, 3 fans, runs cool and quiet. It's built to reference spec which is plenty this generation unlike the 3090s. It will overclock, just not to the extent a more expensive card will and that's not much more. Depends on the game but it'll run at 2910MHz. It can, in reality, chew up to 465W, how much more do you need?

RX 7900 XTX can run it at 50 FPS. Jedi Survivor seems to prefer AMD GPUs.

Are you guys serious rn?? Look at the gpu utilization.. he was CPU bound. And muta has a 5950x. So that’s what’s causing it. The 4090 is capable of way more as long as the rest of your system can handle it.

Still got my trusty 1070, it can still run Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring at high/ultra setting 1080p 50-60fps average. I’m not even sure if i should upgrade to 40 series or wait for 50 series. lol

@@Half-Vampire same, my 1070ti is still alive and kicking on my wife's computer lol. Ive upgraded to the 3080ti, bought it used for $600 last January.

@@Half-Vampire The 50 series will definitely not be cheaper, most likely the opposite. Either you keep using your 1070 or you upgrade now to 40 if you can afford it, I am currently upgrading from a 1070 to 4070 Ti myself

TBH, the 7900xtx cost the same as the 6900xt and the upgrade is good. The 7900xt's price got slashed. Only the budget card do not look too good. But its not too terrible either. The AMD cards battle against the surplus of old gen that have been discounted a lot. This overlap in price to performance is normal but this time it last waaaaay longer. Just remember when the 20 series launched, everybody wanted a 1080ti at 500$, then things got back to normal after 2 to 3 month.

Since when the top of the line costs 999$?, even ngreedia had the 1080 ti at 699$, or the 980 ti at 549$ or so, they just released 1500$+ gpu's to make a 999$ gpu seem like a great deal when it's not

Maybe because I played older games first in my life, I don't understand how people always waiting for new games when there are tons of older fun games they could play first and I bet they haven't played all of it so. Maybe if it's a long run series sure but every new series? Bruh. I'm excited for the new FFs and Armored Core btw.

@@calendar6526 Not just older games but there are countless fun AA and indie games. And gameplay-wise AA and indie games actually innovate more than AAA games. Just take a look at diablo 4 for example. Shit's just a generic arpg. Sure it's a really good generic arpg. But generic nonetheless. And AOE4 was just a straight up downgrade from the older ones.

Bro 1080ti cost half as much as these stupidly priced new cards, comes with more vram, and is still kicking despite being released 5 fucking years ago in 2017, 1080ti is the legend, there will be no card that good for the price for a very very long time

I just upgraded to a 1080ti 3 months ago, been working great. Paid 150 USD when converted from CAD.

@@shinchan4719 before 3060ti would be worth it but... 8gb... and the rx6700xt has a little bit more powerful than rtx 3070 so playing at 1440p with fsr 2 on quality is good if thats your target

@@wateo1782 If every card had twice the memory and appropriate memory bus at the same price the price would be good. As it stands the price doesn't really matter to me. Any price they'd sell at isn't worth it as an upgrade from my current GPU. I just have to deal with not playing the games that are apparently deisgned to run on 60 series cards. It's not like there's any shortage of games that aren't.

@@H31MU7 Haven't played it, not my type of game, but it does require a DX12.2 capable card, which my old RX 580 was not.

Just play older games. I have a brand new top spec PC and after playing some of these new games.. honestly I think the older games were better. So now i’m playing a bunch of old games and having way more fun. The new games are too focused on graphics and not gameplay. And they’re mostly all linear movie-games or fetch quest games. They just have a skin of new graphics on top of very jank or boring gameplay mechanics. For example.. gta 5 a 2013 game is more advanced than most new games out now. The ai, the open-world, the detail.. sure it doesnt have the latest fancy ray tracing stuff like cyberpunk.. but it’s actually a FUN GAME. Personally I like gaming more than watching movies, and new games are movies disguised as mediocre games.

What happened? I tell you what happened. Ai, Ai, Ai Ai, Ai, Ai, Ai Ai, Ai, Aaa Iiii, and Ay Eye

The "4060 Ti" should have been called the 4050. So, 2 tiers lower. And priced appropriately, at $119-149. It has _less than half_ the die size of the 3060 Ti. Which means they can cut 2 instead of 1 from the same wafer and essentially double their profits. Yet they still try to sell it for a shit ton. Nvidia can go f**k themselves.

No need, Nvidia just uses gated software like Frame Gen to make their newer cards look better.

@@xenon42069 You can get a better PC for FREE if you know where to scrounge for e-waste. Keep the best stuff you find and sell what you don't want on eBay or JAWA. Then use that money to buy used parts to complete the build. I ended up with an Acer motherboard, 8gb of DDR3, a name brand 450W PSU, case, and a laptop HDD. I sold some laptop parts, an Asus AM3 motherboard, and a Phenom X4 955 and used the the money to buy a Xeon X3470 and an RX 480. Got Window 10 from using the key off a Windows 7 sticker I found on another discarded system. All in all, no money invested. I ended up giving the thing to a kid I know who was trying to play game on an old i5 laptop. He was very happy.

​@@xenon42069 I'm literally throwing out computers at the school where I'm the Network Admin that would destroy that 2009 PC. Check local business or schools. They upgrade their tech quite frequently and you could get something for free or at least really cheap.

They just had to do one thing, sell the rx 7600 for 199$ with small margins of profit, but they would've sell 6X times more doing that and increased their reputation

It's becoming more truewith Intel GPUs though. Tensorflow already got support for Intel oneAPI (apparently Google's started using Intel GPUs for AI internally, though PyTorch support is not yet here), and so did Blender, OBS Studio and others too...

The Intel Arc A770 has the same amount of tensor cores as the RTX 4090 (while costing about a fourth of the price)

@@user-nq5hy7vn9k Don't know. Probably software/developing library dependant. It matters what you want to do with it. In case you want AI frame generation in games, this will work better with Nvidia GPUs. Otherwise the software has to support it or if you're a developer the frameworks and libraries that you are working with.

@@d1i2m3 Yeah Intel's GPUs are really promising for AI knowing it's only first gen, I hope their next gen will continue in the right direction (and improves gaming performances of course)
