2:34:25 I fell asleep on the couch watching the video, and hearing Girl in the Tower from King's Quest VI in my dream had me so confused I had to wake up and confirm it.

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for being fellow Space Quest series fans. So, thank you, thank you, thank you. One of the best parts of the game is how the fish starts out "relatively" fresh, and over the course of the game gets more, and more, and more rotten.

I remember playing this with my father at a very young age. I was born in 1995, so i may have been 3 or 4 when I played it with him.

To all involved in bringing this monumental video to youtube. Almost four and a half hours of Space Quest. YES YES YES, thank you very very much. I am VERY much looking forward to watching this, I never did complete it and I tried playing it years later and I could never get it to clock at the right speed. Please would you be leaving this up as I would LOVE to watch it Christmas Day? Thank you very very much and all the best.

Way to go retconning all Roger's deeds and character development for some corny "lol your stoopid" humour. No wonder the series croaked.

So many of the jokes in this game make me LOL just because of the way the narrator delivers them. He's SO great!!

The beginning of the game (Polysorbate 60) is like Home Alone 2 and Blade Runner put together.

At 9:37 you can hear Gary Owens laugh at the line he's reading.

And the next assignment never came. And they were all sucked into a blackhole and died. The name of the blackhole? sierra.

The door hinges aren't exactly overheated from a steady flow of eager patrons.

OMG the humour is top notch in this masterpiece. I’m glad they added speech back after SQ V; it was a disaster to leave it out.

It's quite ironic that Roger needs to cheat in order to win the Stooges' fightning game when in Space Quest 2 the game calls you out and mocks you for doing it, being ALSO a hard game.

This game has so many references, it's so "Unreal" ;)

Thank you for posting this. I got to the final level and the game bugged on me. Nothing I could do about it. I had V1.0 and all the available saves are for 1.11. I'm glad I got to at least watch the ending. This is definitely the best SQ, in my opinion.

I remember watching my uncle play this on his Apple! I remember it took so long for him to figure out how to pull himself out of the hole in the beginning! It took him like twenty minutes to figure out the first puzzle! XD

You know you've been watching way too much Sci-Fi if you understood alot, if not all of, the references.

@Alexiustauti It took so long because the guy playing through it looked at EVERYTHING. You can do it in two hours if you don't.

Playing this in my youth, I called a "900 number" (remember those?) hint line to solve the shuttle fuel puzzle.

I remember playing the demo for this with one of my Sierra On-Line games, probably Phantasmagoria.

PLEASE could somebody PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE tell me how to get this running in dos box, I tried to run it and all I get is a stupid error saying 999.pal is missing, WTF isn't the file there? where can I get it? I've googled the hell out of it and cant find it anywhere.

My game would ALWAYS crash when I would put the datacard into the ComPost in Sickbay, I could never finish the game because of that.

Man if it takes 4h 23 min to show how to play the game trough it must take a decade to finish it without any help ^^ the problem solving and all. Modern games are far from that. I finish them in 2 hours -_-

It is a longplay so it is to be expected. I would point out though the several times the barman repeated his lines did grate a bit, but I have no idea if this game let's you skip dialogue. (Still watching through it)

I play SQ 4 & 5 at least once a year. This one got a little...over silly...but its still roger wilco...I guess the old ones made you use your imagination a bit more. its still fun.

Man I didnt like what they did with this game and kings quest 7 compared to ones previous. Just too cartoony and childish. Still great games though!

Why does the Orion’s Belt bar music (34:03) seem to be an entirely different piece of music from the one in my and every other version of the game?

i guess that means you didn't see the two guys from Andromeda kickstarter although its not space quest since they don't own it. That is as close as it will ever get i feel.

Does anyone else's game crashes at 1:42:38 every time? I can't get passed it.

I started to dislike Sierra games when they moved into cartoon-like graphics.

Although I played the previous 5 Space Quest games, I never got around to this one, for some reason. I think it might have been that my computer wasn't quite good enough. That always seemed to be a problem. Watching this video makes me think that I never would have been able to complete it; these are some tough puzzles.

this may be not as good of a game as say space quest 4 or leisure suit larry 7 but its GOD when you compare it to trash like halo 3 or the modern mario games and do NOT get me started with leisure suit larry 8 a game that was delayed for 7 years and we got GARBAGE i swear if the next larry game is anywhere remotely faithful to the classic games halleluiah
