I liked how you could kill practically anyone in this game. Pretty sure I never completed this because I was too distracted with genociding Mos Espa.

Honestly the idea of playing out the events of Episode one and being able to interact with characters outside of the main story sounds pretty cool. If they remastered this game, gave it better graphics, improved the combat to be more accessible, and maybe added some extra dialogue for nobody characters this game would be great on modern consoles.

Thumbs up if Mos Espa is your most played level! I can admit that when I was a kid, my goal with that level was to kill every single being there haha 😂🤣

I had this game when I was younger, played hard through the first few levels multiple times because I didn't know how to save drive so I could save. Always went back asking for my dad for help, he always got me through to naboo... he didn't make it through life past that after his depression. Now I'm here and can actually see what I've been missing for the past 20 years of my life... I Thank you... it means alot to see what my young soul couldn't do

Believe it or not, i was introduced to the star wars franchise through this game. This game brings a flood of memories, I love this game and still think this game was a great game.

Can't even say how many hours I put into this game as a kid. Set up an old PC a few years back and installed it to replay it. It definetely didn't age as well as other games from it's time did, but the nostalgia made up for it. I always defend this game when people call it garbage, it's much better than alot of people give it credit for.

This game was good. A little confusing at times. I remember not being able to look on the internet for a guide or walk through. If you didn't figure out the way, you were stuck for good. I believe I stuck at the beginning of Tattoine. Lol

When I came to the US this was the first game I played. Played this game way before I saw the Episode 1 too. I was 10 years old. 19 years later...

It feels like people have very divided opinions about SWEP1, either you like it or you don't. I'm one of those who love, not just EP1 but the whole trilogy, and I can say the same about this game. Even though nothing is featured on this video, it's extremely hard not to do bad things on the Mos Espa level (haha) as it is my favorite level in the game.

I still remember the Mos Espa section fondly & I see why, its so detailed! All the NPC responses brought back memories & its funny to see you like the big guys with the axes the best, like me :)

played this game at age 6-7 and finished it again at age 28 for nostalgia. Still enjoyed very much. But now with out that struggle that I had in childhood playing the game :D

God I miss this game. Always fascinated me that Obiwan had this weird spikey hair on the front of his head. If they wouldn't have added that, it would have actually looks a lot like him.

This game had the coolest home screen and cut scenes

So much about the way the story is handled in this is superior to the actual film. Imagine if they had started the Mos Espa section of the film like this? With Qui-Gon noticing Anakin, noticing something interesting about him, following him, then losing him, then getting mugged, only to use a Jedi mind trick to learn about Watto? It would be a great, mysterious, dramatic little scene, and also establishes the mind trick for new audiences, and sets up for surprise when it doesn't work on Watto. So much better than "Well, let's look inside this building first. Oh, it's Watto. And Anakin. That was easy..."

My older brother built a pc, me being a kid saw this game in a dvd case as they used to be next to the pc. installed the game got hooked to it, movie cinematics, good graphics, dialogue, choices, interesting cutscenes, dvd tech was new also then! not to mention getting stuck all day in mazes

man i remember the excitment of Phantom Menaces arrival..the insane toyline that followed and being obsessed with this and the Pod Racer PC game..really the frist 2 PC games i ever had. the nostalgia around PM always brings back good memories..

This game taught me English when I was a kid. The way some answers didn't make the game progress (Like "Never mind") and others made stuff happen (like "Follow Me). Man, I've sunk hours into this thing haha it's beautiful to look at this gameplay!

I remember reaching Coruscant and then getting stuck. This was a good game for its time, but I also remember being able to pass levels without meeting all characters in said levels, which was strange to me.

Where did it all go? Feels like one minute, I’m 5 & playing this - loving life. Next thing I know, I’m nearly 30 years old & realizing that this was literally the last game my dad showed me before it all was taken away.

Damn, I was randomly thinking about this game again and finally got the idea to look up gameplay of it. I liked playing it back when I was a kid even though I don't recall finishing it. I remember wandering around Naboo or something, as though that's where I left off. Idk why that is like the only part I remember, lol. I also really enjoyed the podracing PC game!

I still have this game on CD-ROM, so I recently started another playthrough. I bought it in 1999 when I was 14 years old. Some German modders made the game playable on 64 bit operating systems with widescreen resolutions. I think it's hilarious that the old PC version still looks better than the PS1 version ported to PS5.

Gosh I remember this, had this along side the ps1 version of doom. Such a tough game but loved it lol I remember having trouble on curusant and the maul fight near the end

OMG! I still remember the first time I played this game, it was 20 years ago.

The fact that you can kill anyone with few consequences unintentionally puts Star Wars in a completely new perspective. I'd definitely pay to watch a "what-if" re-imagining of the prequels in which Obi-Wan kills whoever he pleases not out of hate, anger, or fear, but rather because he just feels like it. Rather than Jedi or Sith, Kenobi would be a walking black hole of apathy and indifference. Imagine if Obi-Wan suddenly sliced Senator Palpatine in two merely because he thought he walked funny. He would be causing mayhem all over while looking around, blinking with a bland expression on his bored mug, like a deer or some kind of bovine looking for a patch of grass. Sounds quite a lot as if Renton from Trainspotting became a padawan.

When I first played this game, I hardly knew any English. Hearing all the sentences again is bizarre, as I remember all the shapes of the sounds, but not much of their meaning. I probably even learned some words from playing this game. One funny example of my misunderstanding of the language was mishearing Quigon: "The room is filling with boys and girls", which made me assume the battledroids were color coded by gender.

"Follow me Obi Wan" (grates falls down) "Fuuck!" (take two) "Follow me obi wan" (Qui gon disappears into the scenery)

Loved this game soooo fuckin much!!!! This was such a beautiful period of my childhood when I used to play this game with my neighbour kid... So much good memories. And now I downloaded this game and almost finishing it, just sometimes need some help what to do :P I remember the "Mos Espa" Map was the most difficult to me at that time. I think I was playing like weeks on that till I finished it. I didn't even speak english at that time... :D I literally tried all the possibilities on that map xD. Peace all love y'a.
