PCGS Unboxing #7 - The GOOD, The BAD, and the UGLY!!!
It's PCGS unboxing time! In this video, we open and check out the grades I received when I submitted 3 coins that I picked up at my local coin shop at the beginning of 2024. I feel as though I am getting better and understanding the submission and grading process and am working on getting a reasonable expectation for what my coins will grade when I get them back. Places like PCGS, NGC, and others offer this service as a way to get a qualified and professional value on condition and grade. I have some idea where they will end up on the scale of 1-70 but I rely on them to make the final call.
As with many grade reveals I have seen on RU-vid, most of the time you get a few that grade higher than you though, a few that grade at the level you though, and a few that get disappointing grades. At the end of the day you have to take the good with the bad and ugly. This is PCGS's OPINION and you are paying for that and their reputation. I believe them to be the most consistent and fairest of the coin grading companies and it is who I use for all of my submissions.
