PCGS Variety Attribution | 2009-D Duke Ellington Quarter Doubled Die Reverse 

After the completion of the 50 States Quarters Program in 2008, the U.S. Mint issued six coins in 2009 to honor the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. From that group, this 21st century variety featuring Duke Ellington exhibits very strong doubling on the reverse.
