Clearly I'm late following your journey but I'm glad I did. There's several places along this trail that I've been to and I was completely clueless that the PCT went through them. In fact I didn't even know what through (thru?) hiking was until I started watching your videos. I hope to do the JMT one day.
Just got back from a road trip and we went to Lake Tahoe on the way back and it was super smoky, some ash was raining down on our car when we were in Carson City

Beautiful photography at the start. What's like when you encounter the guys riding a horse with a string of pack animals. Are they friendly towards hikers?
Hi. If you even see this you're probably saying, what the heck?! Well I have my PCT 2020 permit approved. We've recently did Red Meadows, Rainbow falls and the postpile. Cool video.
Don't know if it still there but in the 80's there was a bath house at the family campground where they piped hot water from the springs into large tubs made of concrete that you could soak in. Only control was the ability to turn the hot water on or off. No control of the temps. Would take the kids up there to camp and we would have snow ball fights in June.
The Devil's Postpile is a nice view of columnar basalt. You'll see more of that as you move into OR and WA. The Gorge is lined with it East of Hood River and there's some behind the trees on the trail at Ramona Falls.

Hey, you are not in a competition but you are making good time. I know you are pushing yourself to make it but you are taking time to show people who will never be able to make the trip some fantastic scenery. My wife says to tell you that she doesn't watch these types of videos normally but you have made them really enjoyable and interesting. I just wish for your safety. Thanks for the adventure.
LOL I've seen your video of you swimming with the sharks off O'ahu... But the mosquitoes made ya duck & cover in your tent 😀 Those sunset clips make me so eager to get back on the trails next year. For now its my turn to enjoy O'ahu ✌ 👣 👑 👑
OMG People are crazy. A walk around the block should be good enough! No mosquitos, no ticks, no snakes, no bears, no wolves, no coyotes, no mountain lions, a nice hot shower, a washer and dryer, a refrigerator full of fresh food, etc, ummm yeah.

Nice one Jen, that rock formation at the devils postpile sort of reminds me of fingals cave, staffa, Scotland. Search for it in google images and you will see what I mean. Atb Glenn
You'll be up on the high trail and it looks like smoke may ruin the the view of the Minarets and Mts. Banner and Ritter. There's a trail to the top of DPP too. Hope you enjoyed the views.
No, the smoke did not reach up to the Minarets, Mt Ritter, or Mt Banner. We were backpacking up there at the same time and, to my delight, I met Jennifer on the trail between Agnew Meadows and 1000 Island Lake!
keep up the good work and keep trucking along. i keep seeing pct hikers in our store every day now. mt hood oregon. govy general store in government camp. i even told them about you and rabbid rabbit. who i follow on youtube. they are loading up on energy bars. snickers and other snacks. we got a few benches in the shade and they are enjoying their snacks sitting. laundry next door and on the other side a post office. so they love our little village on mt hood. if you have time. see my videos so you can see what i look like. then if you make it to the store. say hello. hope you make it.
I hate to be harsh, and i know you will finish, but its kinda like making it to tbe world series and losing if you dont finish...its a nice achievement, but its but 5he achievement you want...keep going

Awesome views, thanks again for sharing. The Devil's Postpile reminds me of Devil's Tower in Wyoming. You might enjoy visiting it someday. Be safe and happy hiking.
I'm curious to know if you included the Upper Postpile Loop trail to get to the top of Devil's Postpone so you could see the hexagonal shapes and how the columns fit together. It's pretty fascinating. Loving your videos.
Just go as far as you can, and enjoy what your doing. You have a gold or golds that you would like to accomplish in a limit amount of time and we wish that you succeed. What you have done or have accomplish already is so much that we your fans don't even think or care about those golds. You are AWESOME, we care for you and your safety. Hike on
Jenn you have me confused. Earlier you have a condo in Seattle , I thought your parents lived in Reno. Now you say you live in Reno or is that because of family or did you move.
