It's hard for us to say goodbye to you all for now, but I can tell that it was hard for you to say goodbye to the trail. Here is to new adventures. Happy Trails!!!
This is the first time I've commented, but I've watched all the episodes walking on my treadmill, dreaming of being out there. I know I can't do it myself, but I've enjoyed living vicariously through these videos. Thank you! I am now watching your AT hike. I think I am about a month into those. Big hugs to you all, including Hazel.
I have so enjoyed your videos and hike. I’ve watched since the beginning this year. It’s been great to see someone my age who is still tackling big adventures. Thanks so much for your videos.
Kinda teary-eyed this morning…bittersweet. Loved how Joe was contemplating the future yet still in the moment. What a delight to witness the journey of the living like the Hiking Codgers, the Mountain Goat and the Tramily. Be well ya’ll. Happy Trails.
Well, it’s been a wonderful journey with you. I’m a little sad too that it’s over. I think the one thing I miss is that I didn’t see you guys say goodbye to Hazel.. Maybe you have footage in there you can include in the next video I look forward to your follow up on gear, etc. Thank you all for taking us on this journey with you❤❤❤
I’m sure you are so happy to be home with your families but at the same time you will miss hazel and your other tramily members you met on trail this year. What memories you have to look back on. Thanks for taking us along. It’s been such a pleasure to follow your pct adventures. Thanks for posting them.
Nooo! You have helped me get off to sleep these last 6 months. The intro music has been my sound of the summer. I’ve loved every step of your amazing journey. The end? Didn’t see that one coming! Huge congratulations.
Some trails are happy ones, Others are blue. It's the way you walk the trail that counts, Here's a happy one for you. Happy trails to you, Until we meet again. Happy trails to you, Keep smiling until then.
Thank you so much Rumbles, No Filter, Mrs. Rumbles, Mountain Goat and Nancy for letting us vicariously make the journey with you. I have enjoyed it tremendously. Congratulations on your journey during such a challenging year.
Can't believe it, but I had tears running down my face. You have become part of our family. You guys are legends. Thanks for bringing us along on your Journey. You WILL be missed.

Thank you both again much love from England 👍🇬🇧😀👍
Thanks for your interesting and educational videos over the past several months. I won't lie. I was disappointed that you didn't go back to Cali and finish up, but that's being selfish. Great videos. Best wishes! Happy trails x 6!
I just don’t want it to be over! It’s been an amazing journey following along. I love my chunks on the PCT and you inspire me to keep knitting the miles together and see more, kill my knees a little more, and let the PCT fill my heart. Congrats!
Thank you for the wonderful trip. I watch new hikers every year and live through their journey. You have been by far my favorite. I love each of you and I know your not only proud but very tired. I do hope you can see the CDT in your future with Hazel included. I appreciate your families for supporting your dreams ❤ I am now going back and watch your AT journey. Please be safe in all you do and looking forward to your future videos, what ever they may be. Maybe include the codgerettes. Much ❤ to you all.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the memories. Thanks for sharing the trail with all of us. I have so looked forward to seeing your videos and will actually miss you even though we never have met. May God bless and keep you both!!
Thank you for the wonderful series of videos you created. I’ll miss them. They’ve been a part of my life since last March. I retire in 3- 3/12 years. I plan on joining you in spirit on the PCT then. I pray that your health remains good and wish you further adventures on the trail(s). Those adventures don’t have to be all thruhikes! Please add a link to Nancy’s music. I’ve really enjoyed her contributions. They’ve made your videos that much more special. Codgers- Happy Trails!
Thank you for bringing us along on this journey. The trek may be done ... for now ... but the memories you have shared with us will last a long, long time. Even though we have never met, I shed a tear feeling like I am saying farewell to friends. Wherever the trail of your lives may lead you -- 安全第一で頑張って下さい! Be safe; keep at it! Just heard this year about your journey on the PCT in 2023. Have thoroughly enjoyed watching all the episodes and we were so impressed with all the miles you could do in one day. We personally have section hiked all of WA and OR and the John Muir trail so watching brought back many memories. We are past the Codger stage now--77 and 76. And a few things have changed since we did our sections, for one--hiking gear has gotten much lighter. In the 80's my pack weighed 55 pounds and my husband's 70 at the start of a week's hike. We only averaged ten miles a day then. We also brought our kids in the early days; one daughter was eight when we did 70 miles from Manning Park in Canada to Rainy Pass. Also when we did the Sierras (2011and 2012) there was some snow but we were hiking in August and the passes like Muir and Mather look a lot different without that huge amount of snow that you had to maneuver through. Entirely different trek than what you experienced. It was great watching because we could see the parts of the trail that we never did. Congratulations to both of you and I hope that you do get to finish the Sierras.
Best video's, best stories and narration. You're still knocking it out of the park. Thanks for taking us along for your hikes and adventures for the past 2 years.
Thank you for taking us along on your amazing trek. I've enjoyed every minute of it. And thank you, Nancy, for the great music. Happy Trails, Codgers. 🍻
Just like the endings of all of the other hiking shows I watch my heart feels sad that this hike is over. I will miss all of the great wrap ups, comedy, and scenery and seeing you codgers and your tramily every day. For those of us that can't hike but wish we could Thank you so much for sharing this journey with your you tube fans! And thank you to Nancy for the great music. Looking forward to seeing your future adventures. Happy Trails!!
I CANNOT believe that your PCT journey included a walk along our scenic International Boulevard enroute to Seattle-Tacoma airport. You've truly seen and done it all.
Congratulations for finishing the PCT. We eagerly waited every night for the Codgers videos to show up on RU-vid. Thank you for sharing your hike. Happy Trails!
I sure am going to miss you guys. I've followed you since the start, you made my day often. But you have inspired me to hit the trails again in my late 50's. I might just go visit that long trail you did. You are awesome, age is no barrier, you proved it.
Absolute legends. What you guys did in the Southern Sierra was truly amazing. That section is super difficult dry, but with massive snow it becomes unbelievably difficult / dangerous for young men and women. And you two codgers pulled it off with style points to boot. All I can say is what you did this year is inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. Happy Trails
Such an epic journey!!! Been watching since you left campo and hit the snow at Mt Laguna…I liked how no filter talked about how, in the future, he will look back on these videos. You have some awesome memories, here is to many more!!! - MM
I mentioned in the last video I've watched you guys since day 1. I turned 70 this year and you guys are almost my age, out there slogging the uphill, trekking 25 miles a day doing the PCT. I can't tell you how much you guys inspire me and how proud I am of everything you've done. Enjoy getting back with your family.
I live and play in CO. We already got snow on our high peaks. Seems that some of it never melted this summer. I LOVE THE VIEWS! Keep showing them.... hiked Mt Edwards today, 13,850 ft.
That was bitter-sweet, the little naughtiness and comics at end helped with the sadness of saying 'catch ya'll later'. Thank you for taking us along with you! Happy trails Codgers 🎉❤👣
Thank you 🙏, I will miss you all , now you are back to Real Life ……You were Blessed to to get to have this adventure,we were Blessed to share it with you. IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS Happy Trails, always 🍂🍃
Hi, first thank you both so much for sharing your journey. It was truly inspiring. I saw a video from NoFilter yesterday, and today it's gone. I hope all is well. I would live to see more videos from you guys.
Congratulations to y'all!!!!! So happy for all of you and thanks for sharing your journey with us! I still find myself looking for your daily video because I'm still in denial that this part of your journey is over. But, since I didn't start following your channel until y'all were about halfway, hey, the journey isn't over for me. Ha I'm now watching the first videos of your adventure! Happy Trails continue!!!!
Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you for taking us along with you. I will miss watching your videos each night. 😢 Hope to see you again next year for the finish.
From trail, to Lion's Den, to eventually the airport and home! We will miss you all! What a wonderful adventure and so glad you took us along. Thanks for all the videos, and to Kristy and Nancy for the editing and music. It was wonderful. Hope you do another trail at some point. Take care.
Thank you so very much for a wonderful summer of taking my lunch break and enjoying the current episodes of your journey. Congratulations on reaching Canada, the picture of two of you with Hazel at the northern terminus actually brought a tear to my eye. I followed Huck also and enjoyed when your paths met.
Thank you to all three of you for taking us along with you. The last leg of your trek was nice and clear & beautiful. Going to miss the Happy trials Stay safe
Thank you for taking me on this journey with you. It is something I will never be able to do because of physical limitations but I felt like I was walking with you all. I am so sad to see it end. I hope you are able to hike the rest of the high sierra’s next year. It is truly spectacular. Thank you again.
I’m so sad it’s over! Congratulations! I will miss my nightly beautiful views and positive banter from ya all! Hope to see you down another trail!! 😢🎉❤
Well Hello! Hello! I just finished watching your whole PCT series. Much enjoyed. Belated Congratulations! Hoping you'll have the opportunity to finish the Sierras at some point. Great editing & lovely music! 😊 Thanks
I'm glad youre home now safe and sound, but geez we'll all miss you. Give that ol' dog a hug from me Joe! Say thanks for letting you be away for so long. What a blessing to have an old dog. Mine is not quite a year and a half, I can hardly keep up some days 😅
Codgers, thank you for sharing your journey, your thoughts, your humor, your compassion. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with you. Happy Trails going forward.
Oh. My. Goodness!! You guys have been a joy to watch through this journey. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for sharing it. My sister & I hope to make the trek for 2024 and it’ll be our first thru-hike. I’ll be her Codger (I’m the oldest, she’s the youngest). Congratulations & Happy Trails wherever you go!❤
Ditto that. Loved the Codger's trek, but the support crew back home delivered Rumbles, No filter, and Mountain Goat to us every day. All the above rock!
