9/11 Today we set a goal for 10 miles. This will leave about 5 miles for tomorrow to get to Vermillion Valkey Ranch (VVR) where we will resupply. Our hike today goes over Silver Pass at 10,778'. We walk past Nuumu Hu Hupi (Squaw), Chief, and Warrior alpine lakes. They were beautiful. We planned to camp near Mott Jct, but decided to hike another mile closer to the ferry. That site was occupied too. The next site didnt look LNT (Leave No Trace) legal since it was close to the creek and trail. We pushed on and found a grrat siye a half mile away. That left 3.3 miles to the ferry on Lake Edison to VVR - Vermillion Valley Ranch.
