That chain problem on the pedal is not huge problem. It's easy to fix. Just unscrew the little screw on the beater holder and move it to the left side a little bit. Great video anyway!
Zack, first off, hope your ankle get's better. Second , Thank You for sharing all your gear with us, especially those of us that don't have that kind of budget to aquire such an arsenal!
Thank you! The ankle has good days and bad. I tripped on my table saw and punctured an artery. Bled like you can't imagine!! But tonight I tried recording a song so we'll see!
Zack how’s it going man!? So I checked your video out because I’m looking for some great cheap and durable hardware for my kit as well. Thanks for doing the video, but I noticed that your new pdp pedal was having a chain issue to it, and since no one else commented on that, which I’m shocked by, I can tell you how to fix it! There is a way, and it’s actually quite simple!
I would love to suggest that please keep that pdp single pedal, that is an outstanding pedal, you just have to fix that little problem you got there, and I can tell you how, but I have the double bass version of that pedal and it’s a great pedal it really is man! But to fix that chain rubbing against the plate issue, you need an Allen wrench or a screwdriver that fits in that little hole in front of that beater arm on the pedal, if you know what I am talking about. All you need to do is loosen that screw and then just slide that beater arm piece over, which straightens that pedal board and then the chain that’s connected to it and that will fix your rubbing problem! If you would like to get into a zoom call or whatever, if you have any questions about it and or confused about the directions, just comment back to me and I can help you with it! I’ve had that same problem on a older pdp single pedal and it did the job.
Looks like the 810 boom cymbal stand is the way to go to fix your concerns for me since I'm looking for a ride stand. It's only $5 more than the straight cymbal stand at sweetwater.
I use dw 3000 pedals but have the pdp 800 stands..They are awesome I have dw stands and pdp and I think the quality is great on both..You can feel the quality in them.
I've been playing out with these now for awhile and they are holding up great! And being light weight they are great for traveling and pack down super small. So far, I'm still a happy camper.
Drum stick and head and then I’m broke Also I used to be solid base only but then I tried the re issue of squeak king and now I am all for the foldable pedal.
I've got to ask, have they really fixed that? That was always my pedal and I always kept grease nearby. Now I'm actually happy using a Gibraltar strap drive. Yes, the cheap one but it folds. It too squeaks. Just greased it.
