I have both controllers and although the pdp looks better I've been through 3 pdp controllers due to major stick drifts on both sticks compared tp one infinity..

owned a Spectra and it didn't even last me 6 months, it was about a month or two in and the left thumb stick started doing this squeaking thing really bad, it still worked and it didn't have stick drift. I just couldn't get over the squeaking! Recently bought a PDP and it's definitely worth the price for everything it can do!

Me too i bought 3 power a Controllers and i had stickdift on all of them After 2-3 months. I hope pdp is better

Yea, it's a shame they will not upgrade to hall effects joysticks. Then stick drift will be a thing of the pass.

I love power a controllers for the most part, i gave my power a fusion pro 2 to my brother and us my spectra enhanced RGB controller with two high rise control freaks. I love the look of the RGB lights and the all black control freaks.👍🏼👏🏼

My opinion on PDP XBOX controllers. So I buy this pdp xbox controller 3 years back, seller say this is on of the best controllers u can buy, so I buy it for 24 dollars or euros, also I get warranty for 5 years from seller. Controller overall is very plastic, buttons on the controller are very loud, left and right stick terrible.This controller not worth 19.99 euro or dollars. Eventually if u gonna use this alot not expected that this controller wil worked 1 year,i know alot people who return this controller in total 5 months... Buttons, sticks gonna break or just stuck and u done,go get new one or use warranty like I did. Anyway we are in 2023 and this controller cost now 39.99 euros or dollars... Why they raised price?This product is so terrible that they lost alot money, because people used warranty alot... Get original Microsoft Xbox wireless controller with USB C, cost only 58.99 euros or dollars.

I bought 2 times the spectra infinity and both lasted max 6 months. My first RT button broke. And the second has insane stick drift on both analogs. I wait for the pdp this week. I will update this comment so you guys have a clear view. Each and every youtuber never tells the truth about the controllers they just advertise and showcase it no one reviews how it lasts Edit: after 1 month of use of the PDP I can say it's decent but the cable is so weak it starts to disconnect with the slightest move. (Probably week USB port on the controller) rest is fine. I would hands down recommend you guys to get the power A spectra infinity as it's better in all aspects. From my experience controllers like these don't last very long but the power A spectra infinity has a solid 6-8 months of use before it starts to die.

I agree it is hard to know longevity when we review 20 Controllers a year but to say i don't tell the truth I will not agree with ever want a example got to my fusion pro 2 review and see how much I just advertise it. but I can say this if it only lasted 6 months then warranty it out.

I don't disagree with that at all. I think a warranty is important. If you have a good warranty then if it craps out in that time frame you can get a new one. I could always revisit a controller after a year but if I am not constantly using it, it won't matter since it's just sitting there gathering dust. But hey I am always looking for ways to improve for you all. What are ways you would like to see me test durability that I haven't done and I will see about adding it to the videos.

@@PughsReview adding a durability test is kind of useless, imo the only way to test it is playing with it over several months but that would be too much effort. You could pin a comment of yours and ask of the experiences from others maybe that would help

It wouldn't be to much effort just hard too do since new controllers come out all the time and if I want to grow and keep up I ha e to review all the controllers. But I do like your idea of pinned comments I will introduce that concept to the audience and see if we can't start doing that, and after a few months I make a short with the comments that come in on durability and such.

Great video. loved it What's better between the pdp afterglow and turtle beach react-R. I wanted to buy the power a infinity, but its out of stock, so I only have a choice between these two. I seen your review on the turtle beach so was hoping you could answer. I play apex legends mainly so that would be the general use case.

I had the PDP.. Forget about it. Just for the USB connectivity go with the POWERA. I had the same problem of the usb cable plug broke in the joystick usb port after a couple of month. I just purchased the powerA yesterday and the USB connectivity on the controller is clearly more secured than the PDP.

I agree on the assessment of the PDP USB port. I just refunded mine after having the USB port crap out after only a month.

idsay pdp would of won given the rgb gives a wave vibe- plus the type c is more common and has faster connection (if your like me who has to charge their phone with the wire in controller you'd know)

Hey I was researching controllers for my PC, these are the two big ones I see but I'm aware of the cons of PowerA (I have the older Spectra model, thumbstick is wearing out), but the plug issue on the PDP is concerning for sure. I think I'm mainly concerned about thumbsticks(deadzones, drift, time until theyre loose), would you recommend the PDP, Spectra or a wholly different controller for that?

The big thing is the joysticks or the same on either controller 99 percent of company use alps for parts wich we all know suck. So really it's up to you on which one you prefer. At the end of the day, these companies male these controllers wear down, so we spend more money. If they weren't the case, companies would use hall effects joysticks that won't ever develop stick drift

Thos have the same parts in them to, unfortunately. But it's also all about what games you play and how hard you are on the joystick any FPS of course will ware them out faster but if you play other games I wouldn't really worry about it as much to be honest.

Had a PDP for 2 years no stick drift and getting the new one soon. The PDP is much better for FOS in my opinion. I don’t like standard Xbox controllers because of low stick tension and couldn’t find anything similar to me ps4 controller until I found the PDP rematch and RGB. I play max sens and FOV on Xbox and I snipe/ trick shot so I need accurate sticks and PDP beats out even the ps4 DualShock. If you’re more of a serious gamer I’d go with PDP. I’ve had power A and it just feels cheap and terrible imo. The back buttons on the PDP are very satisfying and you can customize them on the fly! I hope this helps!

That sounds like a hardware issue maybe it fell of the table? I would reach out for a warranty replacement if you did drop it I ain't saying to lie but don't offer up any information either 🤣
