Hi Jacob. Hope all is well with you and your family too. Great video. Awesome automatic car wash. The nerve of that guy behind you laughing at you. Ít's just pure misery and pity jealousy on his part. I don't see him have the guts to do what you're doing.
That's what makes this a landmark (if you noticed, this is a BP station now). Back when they were still around, this was the largest Amoco sign in the world. Apparently BP let them keep it since it's a local landmark. Now, it's the only maintained Amoco sign left in the world.
Seeing this gas station was one of the highlights of my recent trip to St. Louis. Have you heard that BP is going to be bringing the Amoco brand back in certain markets? Hopefully this station is earmarked for conversion back to Amoco.
i enjoyed watching that car wash i clicked the subscribe button just now, what a great informative video, thanks for sharing your carwash experience with us on youtube,
wow, this is a old video...so much has changed....Amoco is back selling gasoline in the USA and there are quite a few of them open and selling gas......who'd ever think that in 2013?
Guess what, 1, Amoco was revived by BP, and 2, this station with the car wash was reverted back to the Amoco, and the big sign recieved a update to reflect the brand's revival.
Did you know that the tandem's top brush has a camera to keep it from going into an open bed of a pickup truck so it switches to high pressurized ocelating sprayers
***** They both have their strengths. Out of personal preference, I find that friction washes (such as the Ryko Softgloss) seem to do the best with truly dirty cars.
I've been thinking of having my parents stay there when they come to visit me some time. If I can get that to work out, I'll try my best to do a hotel tour.
Hey Jacob. I've never seen a PDQ Tandem car wash system before so i'm excited to see one in real life. This is just like the one in Jefferson city except the brushes and the left wall is the difference between the two systems.
Did a great job with the brushes cleaning your car tri foam and flash dry and extra dry Time but I don't understand why it wont let dual wheel pickups the tandem was designed for dualies to

This is one of only 2 Tandem units that I know of that don't use the blue/black brush color scheme. One uses red/black brushes and the other is this one.
To correct you, it runs WinCE 5.0 with a Compact Flash card as the storage medium. I actually have a copy of the PDQ software for WinCE6.0 (yes, theres a 6.0 version) and it seems to work in my WinCE 5.0 emulator. I know this since you can find PDQ systems with insecure username and passwords on the internet.
Lol. Be sure it's really not worth it. There is a third $14 wash, while a tad steep, it does give you a bit more. That would be funny. I think a Pirate Wash down there is over $10, but gives you less than this did.
I don't like those types of machines. Those big rolls have dirt from previous cars. The micro dirt on them carry sand like material that scratches your car's paint. The ones with the water pressure nozzle is much better and never touch your car.
