Stevie I love watching you dive. I was a good friend of Bil Philips and his cave student. Now that Bil has passed when I watch you dive I feel like I am right back in the caves in Tulum with him. Amazing halocline! (I am assuming it wasn’t a thermocline). Does it make buoyancy harder to control? I wonder if the difference also affects the mineral contents of the deposits by altering the equilibrium between water and mineral? I know the deposits were made when the tunnels were “dry” but there must be some changes now the tunnels are wet?
