About 5 years ago I saw this video in my recommended (I was only 11), I instantly downloaded X-plane mobile on my phone, I flew the Vision Jet SF-50 around in that game for a while, after some time I started growing a serious love for Aviation. I downloaded X-Plane 11 on my computer and started flying in that. Fast Forward to present day, I Own 2 copies of X-Plane 11, X-Plane 12, and MSFS 2020. And in a few months I will be completing flight school to get my Private Pilots Certificate. After that I plan on going commercial. You did more than just make a RU-vid video, you changed a life.

@@dontflyspirit6535 Heck yeah, the honeycomb yoke is awesome, it feels a lot like a real plane. The rudder pedals are pretty good too, I haven’t had any issues with either, pretty pleased with both of them. I’d say they are definitely worth the price, the yoke is really high quality and has a great company behind it to help if anything goes wrong.

I love it. I can't describe how good this feels. I remember being 7-10, flying to turkey to my grandparents with my parents and my little sister in the night. It makes me so happy. I was so excited back then, to be in the plane in the night, being able to see my grandparents again, the lovely nature in the village.. Argh, it's just the best ^^ Thank you for uploading this :)

This video is nostalgic now. I watched this right as I started to fall in love with aviation right before the pandemic. It was magically, beautiful, before MSFS, this video, to me, was the pinnacle of flight sim media. A nostalgic masterpiece that I will remember as part of my childhood. Thx Jeff.

43:56 not gonna lie that was a really good landing. Notice how the GPWS has about a 1 second interval counting down from 50 through 10 but from the 10 call to touchdown he held it off for about 6 seconds, pretty good flair

Watching this makes me respect pilots so much more! There's so many "buttons" and levers and so much they need to do before taking off. I would be scared to miss something and endanger every passenger 😱 Idk how close to reality this is but I think it's very close.

If you want to dim the lights you can do this from the cockpit on the tablet, just press the right edge of the tablet (when arrow symbol pops out) to turn to the other "page" of this tablet

Jeff you can control the cabin lights from the tablet. It’s on the third page of the tablet. You can open the doors too. Happy new year!

19:50 On Christmas, my dad got me a Boeing 747 window. It had come off a Delta Airlines B744 (Boeing 747-400). Any dates involving it is in the year 1995. Its pretty neet, and I still have it wrapped and stored somewhere. The window is certified btw.

Push yoke forward till 80knots. Center fuel pumps off until 10,000. (Unless them birds got the modifications implemented, but check out the SOP) Bring them flaps up sooner! Don't forget to follow noise abatement procedures. In the words of Ali G; "Keep it real!" BRILLIANT VIDEO BTW

He Jeff! On the beeping sound for the airport just go into your plug-in menu and disable the X-Codr soundXP plugin. It’ll disable those ambient sounds that that scenery comes with. Happy flying!

about the cabin lights: you can do that in the tab on page 2. move the cursor to the right or left of the tablet to go trough the pages. btw. open/close doors is also a thing :)

Man, flight-simulator games should be a required course in high school... It would give so many kids an active interest in a possible future career, and they will just think they're taking an easy class where they can play video games. It's a win-win! And keep that computer lab open after school so they can hang out there and practice versus getting in trouble on the street.

You can operate the lighting system. Go to the next page of the tablet. Also the windows do that because you haven’t turned the window heats on.

You can change the cabin lights and open/close doors from your tablet. Just click over to the second page of the home page of the tablet. Hope that makes sense and helps :)

I've noticed the windshields will fog up if the windshield heat is off. It appears yours was when you had the issue, haven't messed with the setting in the mod but turning on the windshield heat always works for me.

VATSIM doesn't interest Jeff at the moment, the audio/voice CODEC is really bad. He will use it I think when they fix and or update the CODEC; however I do agree that it would've been fun if he had used VATSIM, not 1000% better because the video is already super good :) and as we all know and love, Jeff does what he wants and when we wants it.

@@pierrewanga9402 How do you know what interests Jeff can you read he's mind? Just because you think the "Audio/Voice Codec is really bad doesn't mean Jeff wouldn't use it. I think Vatsim is one of the best ATC programmes out there and every time i have used it i've never had a problem with Audio/voice. I'm not saying it'll be better with Vatsim because it will be fun i'm saying it because it will make he's experience alot more realistic and more Immersive for he's audience. Also "Jeff does what he wants and when we wants it" has nothing to do with my original comment. My comment was a constructive comment in giving him another way/idea on how to make he's already awesome videos 1000% better and immersive for himself and he's audience and so don't sit there and be Condescending towards me.

And I merely said that he does what he wants because you said that it would’ve been “1000%” better, suggesting that he should’ve done it on VATSIM. @@pierrewanga9402 Oh he said it before can you recall what video where he said it doesn't interest him and if you link it and if he says it i'd be surprised because he'll be the very first person who plays Flight sims that doesn't/won't use it. 99% of the Flight Sim community use Vatsim for ATC so i'd be surprised if jeff said that in a previous video. Who said you were stupid? No one i just asked how would you know what interests jeff can you read he's mind. You replied that you have heard him say it before so please do tell me which video he stated that in. I said if he had used Vatsim as ATC it'll make he's video 1000% better then what it is because without it the video is bland and lacks Immersion. That's not me saying directly too him that he should 100% use it that's up too him, I'm just saying if he uses Vatsim it'll add something more too the video. How is your comment based on facts? Hey Jeff - First off... great videos, as usual. I know FPS are critical, but you might consider turning shadows ON while parked and taxiing, then off when flying. (Assuming you can splice the footage together where the viewer wouldn’t notice.). Thanks!!
