The butterflies human bodies cannot be saved. The very moment that the butterflies burrowed into their brain they killed the person that is their new meat puppet.
I think Vigilante actually does have a healing factor. He just literally needs to sleep for it to kick in. Notice everytime he 'passes out' he's up again rather quickly and in better shape than he was before going unconscious.
@@sheepgodz247 I mean he got blown up by a point blank grenade and was fine. And when he jumped out of the Window in the Hospital, we see no sign of a bullet wound or even healing tissue whatsoever. It *could* have been an oversight, but at the this level of quality in terms of production, i highly doubt that.
@@CedricBassman he has a type of healing factor in the comics so him having one here makes sense. Especially if he needs to sleep to activate it because what’s the point in him passing out in the car in the last episode if not to somewhat heal him.
I am pretty sure a lot of people had the same screaming "WTF?!" reaction as Peacemaker when Adebayo dropped that communicator and almost killed Economos. I did. 😂
You're totally right. Those little extra details they add just like when Racist Dad falls down you can hear how his head hits the helmet. Amazing show!
I had been expecting it since episode 2, when it was revealed how worldwide the butterflies are. Or was that episode 3? That said, I didn't expect it to be so anticlimactic, but frankly, that's kinda this show's style (in a good way)
one of the iterations of Vigilante has healing powers in the comic books….there’s like 5 or 6 different characters that have taken up the Vigilante mantle . Maybe they’ll explain in season 2 because that dude gt fucked up a lot this season
@@MT-si3bu I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Vigilante had healing powers but it never dawned on him to tell anyone because of some weird Vigilante justification. Like he forgot or he didn't want to make Peacemaker feel bad for not having healing ability.
In retrospect, Peacemaker continually referencing them with internet conspiracies. It was inevitable they would make an appearance & address them. Perfect finale.
I like that despite Peacemaker is talking with the hallucination of his dead father. He actually uses his blowdart, instead of a gun to shoot the hallucination. He knows he's not real so he's smart in using a blowdart instead of a gun, in order to not reveal their location and gain unwanted attention.
Now what if. Hear me out. We’ve seen his dad has stupid crazy tech. What if he has his mind back up. And the helmets are all linked too the server. So he can track them and update the software in them. And so he can now mess with his son for killing him. Or he put something in his skull. Just a thought.
Nah. His acting ability shows with comedic roles. He's a poor action/serious actor and that has been proven time after time. Fast & Furious being the last one where he became a meme.
Apparently they would've gotten Henry cavil and gal Godot, but I forget the reason they didn't, and they couldn't legally use batman or cyborg, but gunn said he's not allowed to say why. Also the aquaman and flash scene wasn't filmed at the same time as peacekeeper was walking by, and the Ezra part was actually shot on a guardians of the galaxy 3 set, and marvel helped them. DC also helped marvel with the casting of murn's actor in the new guardians movie.
and they couldn't legally use batman or cyborg, but gunn said he's not allowed to say why they have used that excuse for years why we cannot have a Batman tv show I know there was talk about bring him to the arrowverse but they told them they had plans so they could not legally use him wonder if it means they plan a show down the line hope so because if done right it could be huge
@@wolf99000 I doubt it, as much as I need a batman show they wouldn't do that. They are getting less and less strict about their rules concerning major characters though so we can only hope
I mean he got blown up and was fine. And when he jumped out of the Window in the Hospital, we see no sign of a bullet wound or even healing tissue whatsoever.
Ezra is awesome. He agrees with everything as long as it fits his schedule just to make the fans happy. And I think it also makes him happy, I mean he is as much of a fan as us at this point 😂
Yeah, Murn said in one of the earlier episodes that part of the process involves the Butterfly burrowing through the brain of their host, so all of these people were technically already dead.
Yeah that's in the comics but I don't know if they will adapted all he's killed. Otherwise he would have seen Flag, his little brother, the man he killed as a child & everyone else by now. And he doesn't have to wear the helmets to see them on the show.
What if it’s a new take on it. What if it’s more his dad with his crazy tech put something in the helmets. Maybe he has like a copy of his mind somewhere on a server and the helmets are all linked. I mean they showed he had them all tagged. Maybe it’s more server linked up rather than a tracker. And through the helmets he can now mess with his son.
I think having his dad's ghost following him around is symbolic of how childhood trauma follows you around, even after your abuser is not physically present in your life.
@@EggBoi_8 That would be an awesome adaptation if it’s not a ghost but an effed up way for his dad to keep his effed up mind control on him. Just being near a helmet activate upon his death. I like that better than just a typical psychotic break. 👍
But according to Peacemakers in world explanation it WOULD break all of someone's bones. He literally said that and then she smashed into a cave wall and was fine.
@@FullMetalB Nah, Peacemaker said "if you want to risk breaking every bone in your body. It's a prototype." All Peacemaker really knows is that it isn't finished yet, which is someone only his dad could have told him since he's the only one who knows how to work on them. Dude's probably never even used the helmet.
@@cenauge Point is, doesn't make sense to mention that in the show and then have literally zero ramifications from it. It would be like the chainsaw bit and then never having someone use a chainsaw.
@@FullMetalB Sure it does. Peacemaker was afraid when she used it that was another character moment to show despite all that happens he still cares about them all. Same with his face when Economos tells his story Peacemaker shows regret for being a dick about his beard.
Props to Jason and Esra for actually showing up for that cameo. I really love it when actors from the same comic book universe do these types of things.
yes actually vigilante does in fact have healing abilities. they are nowhere near wolverine or deadpool levels (hence the passing out) but he will heal much faster than the average human (hence the jumping out the window).
Well, not exactly, this is like the Avengers showing up in Hawkeye... if Hawkeye had debuted in a Sinister Six or Thunderbolts movie or something and never been in the Avengers, I guess. EDIT: And if he wasn't really an Avenger in the comics so isn't in the MCU either, so I guess it's not that good an equivalent either, I guess.
My heart dropped on multiple occasions with this finale! I though Economos was gone, then Vigilante and Harcourt! Economos nearly made me cry and Leota was a boss! JLA cameo was just the icing on the cake.
I really wasn’t expecting any crazy cameos this show but I absolutely love the way they did it here. That was definitely the most “peacemaker” way of doing a cameo lol
honestly it’s hard to gauge with superhero shows what amount of violence is lethal, but I’m p sure in the comics vigilante does have some sort of healing ability, and it’d be really fcking funny if Adrian had healing powers this whole time but never realized it cause he’s just so oblivious. guess we’ll have to wait until season 2 to see if they wanna take him in that direction, great reaction btw :)
Saw spec on Reddit that the mermaid emoji might be the clue to his eventual backstory (part Atlantean) which would help make sense of why he's so oblivious to how he's abnormally durable.
I want a peacemaker video game SO bad. The different helmets would be power ups and there are so many bad ass weapons you could use. Plus you know the dialogue would be hilarious and the music would be great lol
@@IXSICNESS Oh I grew up with games like that and most were horrible lmao although I liked the lord of the rings ones. I’m just saying if it was done right it could be amazing but it will probably never happen
@@preheatedmusic3179 I do agree with you on lord of the rings games, battle for middle earth was fanatastic and shadow of mordor was really good. They are pretty much an exception to the general rule though
Actually in my little research of Vigilante. He does have healing ability. He’s basically deadpool here although in the comics he’s more serious but just as deadly.
This episode right here solidified peacemaker not only as my favorite DC show but also as my favorite DC hero and I couldn’t be happier to hear they are doing season two!! Oh and aquaman totally fucks fish 🤷♂️😂😂😂
This is truly the best comic book series out right now imo, they knocked it out of the ball park with the season finale. So many amazing moments happening from Adebayo outing out her Mom, the task force x program, and makong project butterfly public knowledge, Peacemaker keeping Goff alive and not inside a jar, Peacemaker seeing his Father's ghost inside his mind, Peacemaker choosing his new friends over world peace at any cost, Economos being honest to himself and the team realizing how he felt the whole time, the fake out deaths of Economos, Harcourt, and Vigilante (really glad they all survived), Green Arrow being mentioned officially existing in this universe, and of course the JL cameo. Amazing pacing for an episode packed full of action, drama comedy, and heartwarming moments. I have high hopes for season 2
A lot happened in the episode and I LOVE the Justice League cameo BUT Adebayo whistleblowing on the Suicide Squad and Amanda Waller could be huge. Who knows what ramifications that'll have - is Task Force X shut down and Harcourt or someone starts Checkmate or does it somehow spin into Secret Six? Peacemaker season 1 was incredible. James Gunn never disappoints me. It's also so cool to know Ezra Miller's cameo was filmed by Marvel because DC shot something for Guardians Vol 3.
I love that Emilia and Chris seemed to leave it off as friends. I've seen so many good shows and movies get ruined by making the lead male and lead female make out for no reason other than that they're the main characters
I thought those were silhouette cameos, but it is actually Jason Momoa saying f*ck you Barry! Now that this series is over, I want another one from James Gunn! I'm looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy 3 anyways!
I finally worked out what the cow reminded me of by looking slightly above Eric's head. Thanks Blind Wave! And that Justice League moment blew my mind too.
The song at the beginning is by steel panther and is called if you really love me. Side note I made a prediction somewhere that they would play steel panther at some point because it is probably the most fitting music for this show
Hey therr is always season 2. And since Auggie is in Peacemaker's "head" so to say, he is going to make his life miserable in many a ways, getting him to wear the scabies helmet could well be one of them.
There is a version of Vigilante that has a healing factor under a different suvilion name; just like how the Justice League Unlimited animated series used the old school cowboy Vigilante voiced by Nathan Fillion because he fit in more as a hero, since this Vigilante is closer to his comic version.
I LOVED the cameo!! This episode was sooo good. I just wish they could have somehow saved the cops, I loved those characters, it's a shame we wont see them in season 2. I love the movies and the shows mixing. I can't wait for more!
Each helmet is self preserving. When sonic boom goes off, it first creates a shield arround the wearer. Similarly, when human torpedo is activated, it also creats a protective barrier. you can see it in the scene.
Peacemaker, Vigilante, Economos, and Harcourt were a bunch of dickwads in the beginning Can't believe James Gunn makes us fell bad for all of them by the end
It is here!! I loved the cameo, love that we’re getting a season 2. Clearly we’re gonna explore more of Chris and his ptsd it seems I’m not sure rn what else would I call it besides him just being haunted by his father (not literally but because of the last words he said “I’ll always be apart of you or inside your head” something along those lines) it was a great season! ❤️🤍💙
That's a mixed bag. Some of the best villains are like that, some basically like being the villain, some are basically just throwing other people under the bus for thrills or to get ahead while seemingly never caring about being the hero or villain. Wilson Fisk (Netflix Daredevil). The head badguy in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. All the badguys in RoboCop. Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs). Hans Gruber (Die Hard). Captain Hector Barbossa (Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl). Alonzo Harris (Training Day). Harry Lime (The Third Man). Heck, impossibly enough, some of "the best villains" (since it's a very long list once you start to think about it) straddle the fence of all three categories e.g. René Belloq (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Khan Noonien Singh (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan).
Simply reason for Batman not being there is, because two weeks from Matt Reeves The Batman going to be released, hence they have to hold back Batman in DCEU. Also, Batman generally helps jl when he has time and things are very very serious. These Butterflies threat is so big scale like for example zod Or Steppenwolf.
@@roxtechs a kaiju is a global problem. Much more deserving of superman's attention than the butterfly's, who needed maybe a swat team or military unit to take on based on the show.
Hey guys, luv the channel, great reaction, what a show and what an ending...I heard no Batman as when James Gunn asked Warner Bros they said don't even ask, Batman is off the table so thats why.. pity but yeah ur right Ezra and Jason have big movies coming out in DCEU so...such a hilarious moment, watching the Justice League use the F word was cool and Amanda Waller too...
That spotlight in the field that was backshadowing the rest of the Justice League was some Bat vehicle. The shield was a nice touch. Gunn's direction for Cena in Suicide Squad was "I want you to do a Captain America if Cap was a duechebag frat boy instead of a Boyscout".
I like how different peacemakers dad acts in the hallucinations. You can tell his personality is completely different since we are seeing him through peacemakers eyes’s.
The helmet has that blue oversheild that turns on when he actives a helmet power. We saw it when he first used sonic boom and I would imagine that’s how the one helmet lets you breathe under water.
