If you look closely, there is a logic to that. Since the granade was thrown at such short distance, there was still some time left for it to go off. If Vigilate took cover after throwing it, White dragon would have taken cover as well. Vigilante basically perplexed him by not moving.

i think it was the trucks gas tank that exploded. I noticed there were two explosions, first the truck, then the grenade.

Vigilante is a sociopath, in which case he doesn't really feel sympathy for anything. The reason he finds Peacemaker so attractive as a friend is because he is simulating those emotions to better fit with the narrative of his 'game'. Perhaps I'm reaching, but Peacemaker is vigilante's metaphorical drug dealer, where he gets to scratch that itch that goes on in his mind by going along with Peacemaker's adventures

In the comics he's metahuman that's why he survived

For me the best sidekick ever , even better than batman and robin

Or he's just really exited to get to kill a supervillain after all the dope dealers and graffiti people.

It’s ironic how he’s shown to possess minimal level of empathy in many instances and yet the thought of protecting his friend is always up there in his head

Insanely stupid and clumsy. He's clearly not perfectly aware of what he's doing and the "pieces" he's missing, can cause disastrous mistakes! That said: you have at least to aknowledge the great trait of never giving up on trying to improve...miserably failing again and again, but still...And even if he's clearly not in the right state of mind, he can show and do the moraly right thing. In conclusion: a good character decently portraied. Please don't kill him yet.

@@purplefood1 Honestly I was very optimistic about the show, I liked James Gunn's SS so I was expecting to enjoy this. But yes, it was better than whatever I imagined coming into the first episode, and the quality of the supporting characters (starting with Vigilante) is very good.

He's peacemakers sidekick, idk if he'll ever get his own show. Plus james gunn might not have the time considering he's gonna actually come back for the next guardians of the galaxy movie, whenever that is. I don't think I'd want this series to continue without him, even in a spin-off

Nah I feel like Vigilante DEFINITELY works best as being a part of Peacemaker's show. Their chemistry and the whacky situations they get up to with the group are what makes it.

He works best as being an Insane Side Character, giving him more depth wouldn't Work tbh.

In the comics he has a pretty mildly strong regeneration ability, in this show he heals and survives pretty much everything.

After the scene with them throwing dynamite at each other I kinda figured the explosions were gonna be kinda cartoony. Which is a stark contrast to how hardcore all the gunshots are lol

That only applies to grenades in TV land. I've thrown real grenades in the Army. They scare the shit out of me, for good reason. One would have killed every person in that scene, and the main two would have mostly been a pink mist. Maybe Mr. Supersuit would have only lost a leg.

@@rallen7660 the kill radius is 5 meters and a concussion is between 5-10 meters if I am not mistaken but people have survived a grenade blast head on. Not 100% but a good amount to put odds in some people’s favor

And shrapnel can/will fly unpredictably over a hundred meters and kill people. Remember: grenades are designed by some very smart people to kill every mother fucker in the room. Just because you weren't at ground zero doesn't mean you're safe from them. I was ranked as an expert grenadier when I was in the army. Explosives scare the shit out of me for a reason.

This is so true. Seeing people criticize Starro for looking ridiculous or Black Manta because his helmet is so big when both of them were adapted so faithfully is truly disheartening as a fan of these characters; I really don't want to get another MCU Dormammu or Ghost Rider movie's Blackheart.

@@luisramirez2548 i agree he looks like a power ranger villain but the actual design of it is very well made to look accurate and it does its job well of looking like an actual super villain costume, sure its campy and corny looking but just like in suicide squad the costumes here scream personality i feel like the faded designs of some main marvel characters like bucky and falcon and ant man to a degree walk this line of militant suits, not to mention BVS and JL faded and dark costumes all make people think that it cant be a good movie/show without looking more realistic, but spiderman is crushing at the box office and he has multiple brighter and more colorful suits that have made appearances in all 3 of his movies. Basically i agree with you and the comparison is 100% there, i just saw a lot of people making a bigger deal out of it than need be, comics are serious and goofy at different time or the same time. I just dont want people to ruin their own fun on accident, part of what made the gunn suicide squad movie so good was its vibe and sunny look while having some serious weight in tone when peacemaker fought flag and wallers ruthlessness, its imo a masterclass on managing tones and being able to pull multiple feelings out of one thing and it was all done with peacemaker looking ridiculous or being almost naked. Its a delicate balance and, if not careful, comments than come across as negative could land us back in 2007 hulk color pallet

It would have to be very well written. The more recent pirates of the Caribbean movies have shown us that the quirky, off the wall character is great as part of the story, but falls flat when made the lead. Just my opinion though

They don't have enough Butterflies for a full scale invasion. It is why they have to take positions of power to control the world which they were doing until Peacemaker showed up.

Waller literally used her daughter to pin Peacemaker as a Lee Harvey Oswald, so I doubt she's sending backup for her fall guy. The escaped members of the Squad also think Peacemaker's either dead or a murderer (rightly so), and weren't around to see his character development. If they do show up, it's probably as "villains" trying to stop him.

Because hes stupid. But his fighting skill and gun handling overshadow it. That aside so white will stay there instead of flying catching his son. Since if he do that vigilante will do something to stop him while he let his guard down. Probably.

Exactly the same. I’ve yelled out loud, teared up and laughed out loud, sometimes in the same scene. Didn’t do that with Book of Boba Fett. Or the Witcher. Or Ozark or Squid Game or Hawkeye. This show is stellar.
