FABULOUS!! Thank you sooo much for this pattern! I have just now finished making one for my adult niece who lives in Australia, (I'm in NZ) who loves Peacocks! Hopefully she will be as impressed as i am! :) It was also great to learn the loop stitch which was new to me! :)

I just made your phoenix pattern and found this video. Since they’re similar I thought I’d watch a bit. Your video helped me figure out how to adjust the right placement for the legs. I also questioned myself when I put the tail on and this helped me determine I did it right! Thanks!

In all my slip knots to start a chain, I get an automatic knot. I can't pull to close the opening on the first ring of DC when making the round tail. I don't know what to do.

So....in the first loose toe you crochet 8 single crochets; in the 2nd loose toe you crochet 6 single crochets. In the end they appear to be the same size. Very frustrating.

Have a dumb question but u start with 8 single crochet in a magic circle I get that then u do the next one 6 single crochet and when u put all the toes together u working with 6 not 8

Jeanette, I actually don't use a magic circle. I ch 2 and work the first rnd into the second ch.

On doing the toes well the feet u start off with 8 single crochet and the rest of the toes is 6 single crochet

The length of each feather varies with how many chains you use. the pattern tells you how many to make of each size and you chain accordingly based on the size you are working on.

Why do people say "sc" it's SINGLE CROCHET when talking... its "sc" when reading... It takes me an extra 10 sec to hear sc and think wtf b4 I go oh yeah..... it's a waste of time!! reading and writing are different now maybe that's my dyslexia and dysgraphia talking but shit is real! How hard is it to say "single crochet" and this is not jus for you its at everyone who does this.... It's frustrating
