@dstadt71 thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it. I still really like these straps, but later this month I'm releasing a video reviewing some New straps from a different company. Keep an eye out for the video. Thanks again!!!
Just the video I was looking for! Great video gave me the info I needed to make the best decision for my use case! Thanks for sharing! Love Peak Design! They make great camera accessories!
Love this video 👍, thx for sharing. Do you know if the little metal plate matches the peak design capture clip? Because I have the capture clip but the metal plate with that is bit larger? Second question: Do you know, if you attach the little clips on the metal plate, you still can attach the plate on the capture clip?
The little tiny metal plate will not attach to anything, it's just meant to attach the strap. The dual plate I use does still attach to my tripods because the anchors sit above the part that clamps in. I don't own the capture clip, so I can't say for sure, but I would be surprised if it didn't work. Thanks for watching!
Love this strap but i really dont like the thin cord on the anchor side - looks way too thin, im wondering if they would pop if someone were to try snatch your camera?
I haven't done any crazy testing, but I pulled pretty darn hard and it wasn't even budging. The cord has multiple layers so I think you would be good. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great tips on the Peak Slide strap. I have one and like you prefer using the bottom mount rather than the side mounts. However, it's a pain to remove it for tripod use. You mentioned a way to simply attach a tripod to the base mount but didn't get which tripod mount you are using that works with the Peak design. Can you suggest one?
The base plate I use is called the "Peak Design Dual plate" and it easily snaps into any Manfrotto RC2 or Arca-Type tripod mount(which are some of the most common). I really appreciate you watching! Thanks!
