As a wedding and portrait photographer, I am constantly searching for equipment that I believe will make my job easier. I believe the Peak Design Clip could provide me with that opportunity. What are your thoughts?

For me, the spider dual holster is by far the best I've used. It takes less time to set up and can be put on with a simple belt. and the cameras are way more secure. The only problem I have is when I need to visit the bathroom, as you have to take the belt off, other than that it's way better and secure than any other system I've ever used.

Thats exactly what I was going to say, Spider holster all day long, I have had issues with the Holdfast Money maker dual harness, the Spider holster is so much better for dual cameras, in my opinion and I have tried Peak Design as I do like their gear

Spider holster is a nightmare the camera plates make one lens face forward the dslr plates don't fit sony cameras. The stupid plates underneath mean when it's not on the belt it can't be put flat on a surface. I've just sent mine dual upgrade back and throwing my 1 month old single belt up on Ebay

Mine was on A version 2.00. Managed to get it updated to 3.00 I go upon the creator’s App. I find to technical. Your tutorial was very interesting well done.👍 Thank you.

Your video has helped me make my mind up I've never seen anyone else using one either side with this system before. I also have thr cuff which I was going to just clip and unlcip as its going out and in the captures just for that security when it's out

I've been using Peak Design for 3 years and has been the fastest and secure way of getting the job done. The Peak design strap is always with the camera with the longest lens Z 70-200 2.8S or Tamron Z 35-150mm f2-2.8 ) and the clip at belt with the wide one (Z 14-24mm 2.8S ). Is like trowing gear in the air as you grab the other

Cool setup! Been meaning to pick up a Pro Pad for a while now. I think for me, a combination of the capture clip / pro pad on my belt, and a Peak Design strap (I prefer the lightweight Leash) would be ideal. Only thing I'd add here is perhaps a wrist strap / Cuff to each body.

I would suggest getting a utility belt. Ihave had my belt buckle fail me. Luckily i had the strap on as well

Looks neat, however do you think you need safety straps when using the peak design setup, in case you miss the locking slot during fast paced action (of switching camera) or to protect any sudden bump from the crowd?

I think a hand strap would be best for that, and for the crowds, I usually place my hands over my phone when I walk

I can't remember the video, but I remember seeing someone modify their harness w/the capture clips. He liked the harness, he just didn't like how it dangled around & it helped take weight/pressure off his shoulders. I thought about doing the modification myself BUT as a female, I don't typically wear jeans/pants/belts at my events/weddings so it's not a solution for me.

@@AndreMorganPhotography you know how with PD capture clip? The camera is stiff at your hip while have the camera and lens pointed straight down? Well now you can have it dangle a bit (releasing a bit of tension and energy) and the lens is pointed forward or backward while having the handle easier to grab. Also it’s quicker to clip and retrieve the camera making it faster to use in crucial moment at weddings

@@AndreMorganPhotography its better for wedding or events, if you dont need access to tripod, the spider is faster to access and allows the camera to swing when you are moving. can be a double sword tho.

Peak Design are cool products for sure but honestly the twin strap system is way faster and better particularly on weddings in my opinion. Twin strap not perfect though, have to watch swinging cameras but the weight on the hips with the peak design clips all day is not great particularly with the Canon RF super big n heavy pro glass I use which only adds to the problem. At least you have those lovely smaller and lighter Sony primes so PP will work a little better with the Sony system. for sure!

I couldn’t agree more, I love my double straps, like mentioned in the video I it’s my second one, but I’m also will to try new products just see what’s out there as an option, maybe help someone else decide, if it’s a good fit based on my review

While this look more convenient the first one is safer . It will be interesting to run and gun with the peak design . Be careful with your gears .

You need a strong and comfortable belt. For me, I need to tighten the belt more than normal and it hurts after an hour.

Yes that’s correct, I recommend leather, and I’m using a mirrorless camera from Sony, so it’s not that heavy, if you are using a Nikon or Canon, you might need to be tighter for sure😊
