Hi. i bought one 6L and find my camera didnt fit weel so i changed to 10L and love it. The camera goes in the center always with several lenses so whet the bag is with lots of stuff the middle tends to strech so i can not make use of the origamis, since i can not turn them OUTSIDE, only inside, but thats no problem at all. i end up pilling stufff on both interior compartmentes, left and right :) I also have the Zip 15 L but thinking of changint it to the 20 L, I love her to,
I think Peak Design got the shoulder strap just right. It's thick enough so that it is comfortable to wear for long periods but not overly bulky. Weight distribution depends on what you're carrying and how you have the bag set up. Personally, I haven't had problems with the bag becoming uncomfortable, but I guess that everyone's experience will be different.
I got the bag to replace my falling apart Crumpler Mild Enthusiast. The 'usual' tripod stowage position wasn't doing it for me. The weight distribution is a lot better when the tripod is strapped to the front loops. The capture clip positions are not good, as your lens bangs against the tripod. I'd save ur capture for your backpack. I wouldn't throw a laptop in it except in an emergency, esp. if u rock FF SLRs. A laptop makes it too stiff and rigid. Padding is good, but a little too much for my liking. I like my sling backs to wrap around me slightly, creating a more discreet profile. Overall a good sling bag for a photo EDC.
I don't have a 70-200 lens but I think the lens, on its own, would fit standing up. If it was attached to a camera body, you would have to reconfigure the inserts and place it on its side.
Greetingsj. Thanks for your review demomnstrating to us how much you can pack in the PD ES 10L V2. I just came across this person's experience with the same PD ES 10L V2 but in black. For him, his shoulders felt so much strain after walking for 30min. with it every time while carrying 3kg weight on average inside for the last 6 months. :( I really want something with carpet-like comfort that would stay on my left shoulder for hours and if possible, all day. Are you feeling the same with your shoulder? I'm actually contemplating on either getting the PD 10L V2 bag or this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZGu-xHxoVqA.html (The Moment Rugged Sling). Common problem with the Moment 10L is that due to some weight distribution issue with it, its bottom corner tends to poke one's lower back which can be discomforting or annoying. In your humble opinion, even without testing the Moment bag (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ili_fWi_ojM.html), I was wondering if its "wider/thicker" shoulder strap plus its "stabiliy" strap feature (7:31--refer to the last link) would help minimize the strain over your shoulder? Hoping to get your immediate response asap as I need to decide before Black Friday discounts end. Thank you.
Thanks for your very detailed question. Personally, I haven't had any issues with carrying the PD bag, but I think the experience would vary depending on how the bag is packed and who is wearing it. I hadn't seen the Moment bag before but they have obviously taken a lot of design cues from the PD bag. It looks 'boxy' compared to the PD product but I think the PD sling is deeper and the bottom corners look more rounded so I haven't had problems with the corners poking me in the back. As far as the strap goes, I find it really comfortable. It's not too thin or thick and I think Peak Design nailed it. However, you'll probably find people that disagree and think it should be thicker. My guess is that PD wanted to find that middle ground where the strap is comfortable without being too bulky. I didn't like the look of the stability strap feature on the Moment sling. For me, the whole idea of the sling bag is to be able to swing it around and get what you need, quickly. Thanks for watching and I hope that you're happy with whichever bag you end up buying !
@@GearSlob Hi! Wow! Thanks for your take on my inquiries. Actually the stability strap can be taken off if you feel that it's a bit of an annoyance. Lastly, what's the difference between the Ash and Black editions of the PD 10L V2's apart from color and the bluesign certification? Does a bag being bluesign certified (Ash PD) renders more sustainability since it's made from recyclable materials? Thanks again!
Sorry. Have no idea about the sustainability. I thought that the range was manufactured from recycled products. Maybe there's more info on Peak Design's website ? Hope that you can find the information you're after.
@@GearSlob Thank you very much for your reply. Certainly, it would influence me somehow on my purchasing decision as to which bag would be more fitting for me and sustainable thru durability.
@@GearSlob By the way, this is the youtube link of the one complaining about the PD 10L V2 that's uncomfortable to his left shoulder: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cSNS_06CZoQ.html
@@GearSlob Yes, exactly. My wife has Tote V1 charcoal and it is a real beauty. Tote V2 is dull, almost no accents, shapes more rounded. Ditto for the Sling bags. But - we will go for the Everyday backpack V2, as it is still nicely "boxy" :-) I know that aesthetics is a matter of personal preference ....
Hi, does this bag fit your EOS R and 24-70 F4? and if so how much space is there after that? Ive got the everyday 5L V1 and it just barely fits the EOS R with the 35mm F1.8, looking at upgrading to the 10L Thanks and great video, keep it up.
Yes. The EOS R + 24-70 F4 + the EF-RF adaptor fits easily. Just checked and it is slightly longer than the 80D with the 18-135 (only about 1 cm). You would be able to fit that Camera and Lens combo plus the other toys I had in there (the RF 35 1.8 swaps with the nifty 50). Looks like an upgrade to the 10L might work for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi do you think a lumix G9 with a capture clip fitted along with 2 lenses (12-35 & 35-100 f2.8’s) would fit? Hoping to put my 11” iPad Pro with the keyboard case in it as well along with spare batteries, sd cards etc. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I'm not familiar with Lumix cameras but have had a quick search and the G9 looks about the same size as the EOS R. Haven't had much to do with the Lumix lenses either but being micro 4/3, I believe they are smaller than the Canon EF models. The Notebook sleeve can hold a Laptop up to 13", so you shouldn't have an issue with your iPad. Looks like you wouldn't have a problem getting that gear in to this bag. Thanks for watching.
It's not really designed for that. You could carry a short bottle inside if you had to, otherwise you're looking at going to a larger, backpack type of bag.
@@GearSlob I've been hoping to see someone with a water bottle strapped to the bottom with the included straps to see if it works before making a purchase 😅
@@alexfns2427 you would have to cinch it down really tight and there’s no guarantee it won’t come loose as you’re walking around. From a guy that uses one of these slings every day (I have the 6L version), walking around and cycling, it just doesn’t work for a standard water bottle. There are flat pack type bottles that will fit inside (almost like a flask), but honestly I will just carry a small bottle around with me if I absolutely need it. Absolutely love this bag and after 2 years of daily use, all the materials have held up very well. The only noticeable wear is on the material lining the padding of the shoulder strap.
