I just bought the regular wash pouch and it has the new rectangle zoom zipper

The large one has the separate zipper pocket that is accessible on the outside. I have found this pocket to be perfect for toothbrushes instead of fitting it somewhere in the interior. Upside, you can get bigger electrical toothbrushes in there as well. The smaller one certainly looks interesting for lighter travel! The big one is amazing for completeness

Thanks for the electrical toothbrush comment as this seems to be ingnored in ost reviews and this can’t be an unusual requirement surely?

Very thorough video. I have the larger pouch, which is basically my at-home toiletry kit, which is nice because it keeps things organized, and yes it does stand up on its own, closed or open, when the pockets are filled out. Day trips I just throw my kit in the car with me. It goes beyond travel practicality. Excellent product well recommended. I Have hoped PD would do a smaller one for travel, so yay. This design looks *mostly* pretty good, but a few more flat zip pockets plus the external zip pocket would have been well worth keeping. Dubious about that folded handle grab, that fabric takes up more space where a pocket could have been, and the old handle design was absolutely fine. Odd choice. Looks fiddly. More Super small pockets: they are very helpful in organizing things like essential oils, tweezers, ear cleaners, hand wipes, meds, chapstick, etc. I vote for more internal organization, because that’s the main advantage of a washkit instead of a zip lock bag. Each item is then deploy ready, fingers can find things in the dark without flashing lights in hostel rooms, and every little thing has a place. No jostling around or digging. And no need for a bag within a bag within a bag. The bigger bag really did well on this front. I think the smaller design could have had more low profile pockets without compromising the open spaces flexibility. It’s hard to win everyone, some folks wanting ultra minimal, others like myself, etc. The form factor, dimensions, and shape are excellent. You can bet that pouch’ll be shoveable into most packs, be them uni. Students, ultralight travel, or suitcase galore. PeakD hits the spot with bags that hold their shape without a fencing armor effect. This one has aesthetic appeal. No affiliation.

Small size is perfect for one bag travel. Especially if you are liquid free or you put your liquids in a separate clear container for tsa. This and the medium stasher bag is my system for business travel. Previous to this I would put the stasher bag inside the regular PD wash pouch but I found it easier to put the stasher bag on the outer pocket of my RED OXX Air Boss for easy removal.

While I lean towards the small one, the big one gives you so much more for only $10 more....but I don't need the big one...which makes me iffy if I should even get the small one. Might look at Nomatic

These are beautiful toiletries bags, but not practical for flights which require the clear 1L bag for liquids. For my husband I ordered the Gravel pouch (the original now middle size) that has a removable clear compartment for bottles, and it has worked very well for him.

Yeah but it’ll be tricky to have organisation if it was clear/transparent. I use Arcido toiletry bag because it’s transparent but I had to give up organisation.

Excellent comparison video. My husband and I have been traveling with the large bag which is the perfect size for all of our toiletries. We are considering the small bag for our tech accessories to bring on the plane. I second the other commenter for a peak design small tech bag!

This is great. People have been asking for smaller versions of these popular pouches. I currently use the large spiff kit from Tom Bihn. Usually for me I need a larger wash pouch vs my tech pouch. I just need Peak Design to make a small tech pouch. Great review!

I have the larger version and my “rubbery” pockets are gray on the inside and I have 5 compartments not 3 on the one side. There are 3 larger ones and 2 that would hold Chapstick or something really small.

I wonder how these fit into the new 30L with both a medium and small compression cube. Is there enough room for all 3 (large or small) in the main compartment?

As a woman, who wears makeup, I would use both pouches. I’m not minimalist enough to use the small one for toiletries, the bigger one is challenging enough 😅

Any issues with TSA with the bottles just being in the large wash pouch? outside of a see through ziplock type bag? The TSA website states they need to be in a 1L bag and since the wash pouch is 2.5L, I can see them being difficult about it.

@@leadinglightfilms Thanks for the input. I used to travel a lot for work too and I've only seen how inconsistent TSA is with enforcing the rules. But I guess I can just pack a bag on the side in case they ask me to bag it. Will buy the wash pouch bag now!

A product like the Tech Pouch is fantastic and useful but for things like toiletries I have found the best thing for them is a Ziplock bag. It takes up the minimum amount of space, disposable if you need to and you can see everything in it easily which is especially useful in case you forgot to pack something. The bulk and rigidity of a wash pouch is unnecessary.

Can you “Sling” these? I need something to take as a emergency medical care package that also carries some stuff for me personally when I take a handful or so kids (kindergarten, so about 3-6yo) on a walk and don’t want to take my 30l everyday And I find the 3l sling WAY to large, but I don’t think the field pouch is large enough

Too much work to put stuff in and out of the different pockets where with Eagle Creek toiletry bag, everything just drops in there and you can see every thing when the bag is open, and it flattens out and molds into tight spaces in the suitcase.
