Last of the 4 films. Brillant effort capturing the heart & soul of the trip. I will never forget my part in this epic camp & the friends I have made. Thank you Dave ⛰🏕🥾🎒🍻❤
You always make great videos with just the right music to accompany them, but this one, this one Dave, I really loved. The honesty of the lads, the simplicity of wild camping, perfect. Been saying to Steve and Kev for a while now that I’d love to get out with them. If it happens and you’re there it’ll be bloody great. I need to show my border collie off to Kev anyway 😂
@@DaveGoodman1959 I sent a pair of boots back to scarpa to be re heeled but they wouldn’t do it as the gortex liner had been worn away by my big toe. Apparently if the gortex liner is broken they won’t touch the boot… but they did kindly offer me a new pair or any pair i wanted with 40% off, so worth giving it a go Dave👍
@@philjones3335 thanks for that Phil , I’ve yet to do anything about the split in the leather apart from buy glue to do it myself which is no doughy what I will do. 🙈
Hi Dave What a fantastic video mate. So well filmed and stitched together. That looked like such an enjoyable adventure. I love the Peak District. I’ve only done 2 or 3 camps there and so I’ve barley scratched the surface. I hope to visit again very soon and maybe do my first 2 night camp. Been going through your back catalogue of videos and I’ve really enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing. All the very best Stephen. 🙏
@@belowaveragewildcamper Hi Stephen, what a generous comment so thank you very much and blimey watching my back catalogue as well I’m going to buy you a pint mate if I see you in the pub at Edale sometime. Yes watching a few of your trips and your usually a bit further north than the Peak District , I can usually get there without too much planning but any further than that would have to be a week to make it worthwhile. Anyway ATB and kind regards 🙏👍🏕️🍻😊
@@belowaveragewildcamper if you come to the Peak District for a hike sometime let me know and if I’m available that would be great. I’m away now until the beginning of September though. 🙏👍🍻
gav is it hiking for health yes i seen his video of that get together and thats what its all about has gavin says lol great fella and its good to see your camp from another persons view 😊👍and luv your new tent
@@austieoutdoors9763 Hi Austie, and thanks for watching mate that’s appreciated. Yes Gavs such a nice guy and I look forward to getting out with him again sometime. Yes I do hope the tent serves me well and I love the room it offers. Tek care and thanks for watching. 🙏👍👍🏕️
What an awesome account of the adventure we all shared and brilliant to see how you lads continued on. That pint at the end was well deserved for you both! Great editing which really captured the atmosphere of a group of lads getting together to enjoy nature and the outdoors. It just goes to show we’re never too old to make new friends and make lasting memories. Thanks for sharing! Gav
What a great video Dave. You’re a genius when it comes to editing. I could sure learn a few lessons from you. So great to get out with fellow walkers/wild campers hey. See you soon and take care 🙏👍🖖
Great video Dave I did see you all up seal stones looking for a pitch. I was going to say hi but I didn’t want to impose because there were a few of you. Looks like you had a great time. ATB
@@craigbradbury7980 hi Craig thanks for watching mate and please never worry about coming over to say hi you would have been very welcome to pitch with us ruffians, Next time. ATB 🍻🏕️👍
Another great film Dave. Watched it with a nice cuppa. Some fabulous campsites by the look of it and great views over the Dark Peak. I know the track by the derwent ( well if you can call it a track ). Once did a trail race up there. Have often been up Margery hill and thought what a great circuit it would make round howden over bleaklow and then kinder. Looks like you pretty much did that. Great to see people out there, enjoying the countryside, respecting the landscape and leaving it better 👍👍 Cheers Andrew
@@huntonthetrails well cheers Andrew and thanks for taking the time. There is a hike yes called the Derwent watershed walk I think it’s nearly 40 miles, done it a few times, best walk in the area. ATB and catch you soon. 👍🙏🏕️😊
You are a natural story teller and film maker. Great stuff thanks for this. Ps. I also have a good wash in a mountain stream when I camp out, so good for you!
@@Chilternwildcamper thank you Lesley I’m pleased you enjoyed it. I used be straight out the tent and in the river when I was a young man, these days I have to be stinking and a lovely day😂 ATB and kind regards 🙏👍😊🏕️
Well that was fantastic Dave...a superb route that i know well...i remember struggling in Swains greave myself a few years back...loved to hear all the fella's doing there little bit on why they love camping..beautifully put together Dave...your a bloody genius.
@@atrampinthehills.841 thank you so much Steven, yes I enjoyed it at the head of the Derwent I’m not sure Steve did though, it was a bit wild there. Yes I used my big camera it was perfect for getting close up shots of the lads without being to close. I really appreciate your watch and comment Steven. ATB 🍻🍻🏕️🙏❤️😊
@@DaveGoodman1959 It was only that bit right after the source of the Derwent Dave, where it was overgrown and you couldn't see the path and there was a steep drop on one side, where I wasn't enjoying it.🙂 I think that's because I lost my footing on a couple of occasions on that section and I feared rolling down the bank, which in turn forced me to concentrate on what I was doing (I don't like concentrating lol). However, that section didn't last long, and it was soon forgotten about due to the beauty of the remaining walk down the valley.👍
Half way through this video, brill watch Dave! Early 03:00am start in morning, should be on kinder plateau for 05:30, will watch rest of this video when home. Hope to see you up there one day. Darran & Emma
That was bloody brilliant Dave and it made me literally laugh out loud in some parts.🙂 Drat, I didn't think that you would use my waffling b*llocks bit, due to the rude gesture that I made with my finger at the end, but you kept it in lol. I loved how you featured all the lads in this video, it really captured the spirit, comradeship and humour of the trip. It was a wonderful experience to be out with everyone else, and as for thee mate, well I always enjoy your company and I also look forward to our camps together.👍 This was a cracking watch Dave, filled with happy memories.🙂
Thank you guys, much appreciated , yea it had been a while since I was last out but by the end of August I’ll have still managed 37 nights so far this year. Tek care guys and keep enjoying them hills. 🙏👍🏕️🍻
@@fraserconnell21 absolutely Fraser, he’s a clever educated chap unlike me who couldn’t even remember what classes I was supposed to go to so I didn’t bother🙈😂
Interesting concept Dave. More of a documentary and interesting listening to the stories of the group. Well done for putting this together. Very well edited indeed.
@@morgs4mountains thank you so much Dave, I used my big camera which I haven’t used for some time and I thought it would be perfect to capture what I had in mind. Kind regards 🙏👍😊🏕️🍻
@@GoneWildCamping892 hiya mate and thanks for watching and the sub it’s hugely appreciated. Yes it was a fantastic few days and very hot the day I washed in the river , so refreshing. What part of the country you from and have you been camping of late ? I’m off to the Isle of Man with my son in law next weekend so looking forward to that. Anyway ATB and kind regards 👍🙏🏕️😊
@@DaveGoodman1959 Hi Dave, i live about an hour from the Peak District and so wild camp there mostly. I was out a fortnight ago and it was roasting hot.
What an absolutely belting watch!! Honestly I felt like I was watching a TV documentary. Me and Mats aka feral frolics were up on Nesr Bleaklow Stones when you and Steve camped at Bleaklow Stones. The water situation was a bit dire but what a wonderful escape. Looking forward to seeing the next adventure ☺️⛺️🌞
@@Artywanderers hi Donna how you doing, what a shame we didn’t see you. It was last Sunday night when we were there. Thank you so much for and leaving such a lovely comment. There is a great spring on the Pennine way near the Hearn stones. Kind regards 👍🙏😊🏕️
@DaveGoodman1959 we'll keep that in mind for next time! Yep Sunday night we thought we heard some rowdy buggers on the stones 😂 aww yes, a shame we didn't bump into you ☺️⛺️
Dave just loved the video, and as others have said you certainly captured the vibrancy and mood which was cheerful to say the least of the whole gang that went with you. Fancy pitching on a micro civilisation. I suppose it gave you something to watch 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thankyou for sharing!
@@mrnobodieswildcampingadventure cheers Mr N and I’m looking forward to our camp together but I’m busy until beginning of September. Much appreciated ATB 🙏👍🏕️😊
Absolutely brilliant video Dave, youve created a real masterpiece here. I loved watching every second! It was so good meeting you all, weve all said the same, just an incredible experience. You have a real eye for a good photo and video and some of the moments you have captured are just fantastic.
Nice one Dave, a very interesting video and some enlightened discussions particularly about everybody being an immigrant on an island like Britain at one time. Loved the ending and I don't think that woman on the radio was talking balls about the landlines tbh, only in the future will mankind know just what effect mobile phone signals etc have on humans. Anyway, really well edited and I could see you really enjoyed yourself out there! 👍🍺🍺😎
@@snowymatrix thank you Snowy for taking the time and leaving such a generous and interesting comment. If anyone one was going to pick up on the intracacies of those conversations and have an opinion on them, well it would be you Snowy. Hugely appreciated Kind regards 🏕️👍🙏😊
Fabulous filming again Dave... Really wonderful first half to the film... Really liked how you captured the people, landscape and camaraderie.... I do like the radio edits for the mornings.. may pinch that if it's ok... Keep doing what you're doing Dave - Magical stuff..... Thank you for capturing the adventures.... 😎😎😎😎
@@BoredManOutdoors hi Jim and I hope all is well you and yours, I apologise I haven’t watched your or mostly anyone else’s videos recently, I think there too much to do with the better weather 🙏 I did enjoy taking my big camera and capturing other people close up and pleased with the outcome. Thanks for the watch and lovely comment. I’m off to the Isle of Man in a couple of weeks with my son in law but should I get up to Scotland in the Autumn I’ll give you a shout. ATB 🙏👍🏕️😊🍻
