Great video. Did a similar route a couple of weeks after you did it. The drop down to the pond is a great piece of trail then you get hit by that picturesque little valley at the bottom. I reckon a mix of the two taking in the Birchover/Cowley Knowl descent on the way back would make both rides even better than they already are.
Trail Doug this ride was a disaster Doug. Trails that should have been there weren’t. Trails that should have been bridal ways were footpaths. Don’t know what went wrong with my planning. I’m usually good at getting it right. On a positive note. Think the area has a lot to offer. It was my 1st time here. And I think I’ll be back to investigate further
Jon Tait it’s the mudhugger with the extension piece fitted. Bought it mainly to avoid camera wipes. My jersey and face are mud and water free. No matter how wet it is.
Thanks mate. I use OS maps a lot and trailforks sometimes. Now and again use mtb books. And generally just knowledge of the area to plan a ride. When I’ve a good idea of the route i want to do. I then plan it out on stravas route planner, and then send it to my Garmin edge 820
@@TrailFinder i use trailforks which is quite good as it live tracks where you are. I'm going to look into a Garmin we want to ride the peak district do you have to pay for stravas features?
Tony Booth it is in my Strava page. But I wouldn’t follow the gpx route as something went wrong with it. And I got completely lost. Also trails that I thought were bridal ways were footpaths. I was surprise I got a decent video out of this ride. It was a disaster really. 😩
