I’ve gotten so good at watching otz videos that my brain is now predicting what he’ll say and putting subtitles in my eyes.

Otz those subtitles are a really wonderful adition. A friend of mine always writes a transcript for his (not since birth) deaf brother that loves watching you. I cant imagine how thankful he must feel as soon as he sees this.

going through the effort of having subtitles on his weekly compilations is just... such an otz thing to do. so unnecessary to the regular viewer but so kind and thoughtful all for the small fraction of hearing-impaired viewers - i love it.

As a non-english speaker and a hearing aids user, subtitles are a great addition. But some people might be bothered with it so maybe you should do them in youtube's own subs. So people can turn off/on.

My friend was the bubba who forgot to get his chainsaw going! He was super embarrassed about it and was freaking out because he was going against you 😅

Yooo, the subtitles are super helpful, thank you!! I also really appreciate you matching them directly to the dialogue in the clips, it's a really nice touch that a lot of people don't do, for some reason!! If I could request one thing with them, if different people are talking (for example in the clip with Nina), could the subtitles be on different lines, or potentially in different colours, to indicate it's different people talking? Thank you again for the subs though!!!

ik it comes with a lot of extra work but i love, love, love captions. they make videos 100000x easier for me

I literally cannot comprehend TCM gameplay but Otz just has the most entertaining content and insights no matter the game it seems. The subtitles were also nice to look at, not like I need them or anything I just think they’re cool

Love the idea with subtitles!

I know most aren’t liking the subtitles but I think it is a good concept. Look at JRM’s and Aaron’s comps. There subtitles get a lot of props and I know they have the same editor but I think subtitles are a good idea. Just change it a little each time and see how it goes. Something I would is not add every, okay or oh into subtitles. Some can left out.

I'd like to see the subtitles in RU-vid itself so that they're easier to see and you could toggle them off. Much love

I do appreciate the subtitles. Makes me feel like I can hear better. Though I'd personally prefer them to be a little bit bigger and/or in a slightly thicker font.

Subtitles is a very good idea if you ask me, cause sometimes I can stuck on some vid (not only yours) for hours trying to understand "wtf he just said right here", big thanks from brain-dead deaf me 😊

OMG, love the subtitles! Hardbaked is an interesting choice, but I'd prefer if they were the inbuilt YT captions. I can scale those myself and adjust the colours and fonts.

I agree with the general sentiment. I have auditory processing issues, so having closed captions is really helpful, but these ones were too distracting for me. Better to add them to the video on upload than in editing.

I really appreciate the addition of subtitles! If I may add a few notes, however: 1. Idk if this is a monetization thing, but if Otz swears and you censor it, please include something like underscores or asterisks to indicate what's actually being said. 2. Proper punctuation and capitalization can make it much easier to read for people with dyslexia, ADHD, and other neurological conditions. All in all though some really great subtitles and I'm very glad they're included.
