Peaky Blinders 3x01 | First Time Reaction 

The 2-3 year jumps between each of the seasons is one of my favourite parts of the series and they do it so well.

Thomas was so in love with Grace that in the first season he was blinded by her so much that he didn't even suspect that she was a spy so the woman he was with was pregnant, the marriage was obvious

You need to rewatch season 1. Y'all seem to have forgotten why he fell in love with Grace.

Laughable that anyone ever doubted if it was Grace

The baby was the one grace was trying for when she came to town last season and the start of this season is 2yrs later that’s why he’s an adult now 😂😂

fun fact for the girls: the actor that plays michael (finn cole) is the younger brother of the actor that plays john (joe cole)

I don't know why they doubted who he was gonna marry cause it was very obvious that it's grace cause grace is the only woman in this whole season that Tommy purely loved 😂

Its like Tommy really loved Grace so he married her. Marrying May would have been more profitable strategically, but he followed love for once.

Looks like Breaking Bad is now not the only show that went right over their heads. I didn't even realize that the season 2 finale was a cliffhanger. He clearly meant Grace.

Missed basically the entire setup to the whole 3rd season because much like Breaking Bad spent the entire time ranting and raving about something that isn't actually even happening. Oh well.

You guys missed the part where it said "2 years later" at the beginning? That's why the baby is so big.

about the baby being big. For Grace's family they pretended the kid was with her first husband. It's kind of implied he killed himself because Grace told him it was his fault they couldn't get pregnant and she was pregnant with someone else's kid. Then she had to 'grieve' for a period before marrying Tommy. So yeah the kid is a toddler. But they call him the baby because that's just what you do with little kids

I like the ladies a lot but jesus they wouldn’t know true love if it hit them in the head😂

I wanted it to be May as well, but we all knew it was gonna be Grace. I think Tommy was a sort of life raft that May was clinging to for the time being and vice versa. Grace lit up Tommy’s whole world. Someone probably mentioned it but the actress who plays May (Charlotte Riley) has been married to Tom Hardy since 2014. I think they met on this show.

It's interesting to see how differently men and women think. I believe every guy watching the show knew who Tommy had chosen the moment he told May about Grace. That's a courtesy you have for the woman you are willing to lose. Tommy actually wanted to end things there, the relationship only continued on May's insistance. Whereas Tommy never hesitated with Grace. Right or wrong, his choice was very clear to the boys. I don't remember ever doubting he was going to end up with Grace.

I see from that thumbnail we're all very thrilled about Tommy's life decisions! 😂

I think this episode is so outstanding - with Tommy so blissed out at moments and utterly terrified in others, and how this plays out across the whole family. It's just brilliant, IMO. I personally don't understand the shock about it not being May. I love her character, and that she and Tommy had deep affection for each other even with the transactional nature of the hook-up. But she herself in the S2E2 meet with Grace states it: she only sees Tommy capable of 'business' not 'love'. And her motivation is her own need for distraction from her grief. She's wrong when she projects that onto Grace, and at that moment Grace seems to see that her connection with Tommy is much deeper.

Grace stopped the knocking on the walls. That was effectively stating that he was happy for the first time since he was home from the war. And it was Grace who did that. The writer's set her up to be the one right from the start. I did like May, though. I never took a shine to Grace's character.

this season is so good! so, about grace, the man loves her and it is/was blatant all along, i've never seen people don't acknowledging this like you two lol, love is love.

I will always prefer the true love trope instead of the logical compatibility one, therefore I love that he chose Grace. I never understood the hate. But watching you guys organically develop a gradual dislike for her, enlightens me somewhat of why that percentage of the audience hate her. Really enjoyed your reaction. It was always gonna be Grace. Any guy can tell you, ever since that episode he and Grace spent the night together is when he fell in love. You can’t change who you really want and they both have that chemistry, plus he knew he couldnt get that with May.

Frustrating reaction. Seems you missed the time jump completely. Also a lot of your complaints, frankly, I don't understand. You're complaining about things that were never setup in the previous season, and there was never any hint of. Feels more like things you wanted to happen, rather than any type of bad or confusing writing.

tbh not everything has to be so you know intense with love, like electric idk how to say this but like may and thomas was so good but like... no. they weren't really soulmates imo, grace and thomas was meant for each other. they both loved each other since season 1 and never stopped loving each other. tho i get why y'all prefer may, usually i would prefer the more electric spicy ships but in this case grace is super good for thomas, she makes him feel happy and at peace. and no matter what they'll stay for each other, even though grace knows his line of work and even though thomas knew of the betrayal grace did bc of her job. and i personally don't think may is superior over grace, i think they're both good! i love them both sm, but grace will always be my favorite!!! like i said imo tho! and i can't help but to disagree about how u said they shouldn't have gotten married when grace asked if he regretted marrying her. i mean it's pretty normal to have some nervousness when ur spouse is acting strange and u aren't use to it! like he said, it's familiar to him but unfamiliar to her
