In this session Jake continues lessons with Vicki and Cisco so that they can transition home after being in training at Pear Tree Ranch. With one session to go before heading home it is time to start riding a bit faster and at higher gaits, like the CANTER!
Follow along as Jake coaches Vicki and Cisco so they can build confidence in each other and continue the success that Jake and Cisco had while rehabilitating him after Cisco learned to rear and flip over on the rider.

I watched all the work with Sysco& loved your work with him. Then came Remmy, I thought at first , “ won’t be as good as Sysco.” My hats off to you Ryan you’re awesome horseman & your knowledge is fantastic to help the horse understand is only by your patience with them.

Would also like to acknowledge Vicki, for her commitment to her horse, and his well-being. I love Cisco’s well being is at the top of her priority list. Plus her commitment to working with you to learn how to have a better relationship with her horse to keep them both safe. I think a lot of horse owners would easily have been too overwhelmed and intimidated by a horse that rears and/or flips, and they would just give up from the start but she has really given 100%!👏🏼 How cute is it that the horse emoji looks like Cisco, minus the white on the nose.🐴

Cisco was so lucky to get an owner like Vicki, who cared enough to get the help that Cisco needed. He's going to be an amazing horse for her, and I wish all horse owners were like her. Jake, you are amazing with both Cisco and Vicki. I've been enjoying this journey.

You’ve done so well with this handsome horse. The owner looks like she gets it and looked good on him. It’s fun to see your new saddle cuz it looks so much like my new one from Allegheny Trail Saddles. It’s the same color, a Wade with a rough out seat. I ordered a tall cantle, 6”, because I figured it might help me stay in the saddle if my horse spooks. He’s naturally a spooky, reactionary horse which is why I’m here loving watching your videos, and they have helped me so much. I’m in my late 60’s and have owned horses since I was 12, having one main riding horse at a time until they get to retire. My current horse was a handful since he was a foal and it’s taking me many years of ground work to work out all the challenges we have together. At my age I fear falling off so I’m eating up what tips I can get from RU-vid. I appreciate this channel!

There is so much to see here. I love there is NO micromanaging. How slight body language on the ground can mean so much. It makes me that much more aware of what i’ve done to cause unnecessary tension and excessive speed when lunging. I also like how you showed the rider to lift the inside rein and release when the horse committed but didn’t immediately get on him for looking out. Something i am try to figure out with my horse. Well done! Great teamwork!
