Pearl Jam is one of the greatest bands of all time. From this same unplugged show, you HAVE to listed to "Black." It will change your life to hear such an emotional song.
They have a ton of hits. Alive, Even Flow, Black, Porch, Daughter, go, elderly woman behind the counter in a small town, Animal, Rearviewmirror, Better Man, Nothingman, Corduroy, Tremor Christ, i got id, Who You Are, Hail, Hail,... I could keep going. You might have heard Just Breathe. It’s been used in a lot of tv shows and movies
Your fanatical Pearl Jam fandom reveals you, sir. Tremor Christ?!?! Aside from those of us who enjoy hunting down live versions of such obscure goodies… Great tune but I’d say Not For You is the more hit-like vitology track. Then there is the crime that is the lack of love for both bugs and stupid mop
Black and Jeremy are musts in my opinion. Black Unplugged, Jeremy the official video. Both very dark but amazing. Less dark are Alive, Daughter, Better Man. They're definitely worth a dive..as well as Eddie's collaboration with Chris Cornell on Hunger Strike.
Heck yeah, they’re still together and going strong. Many of us have followed them around going to shows for decades. They have to be considered one of the most prolific American bands of the last 30 or so years. Definitely not just another band from the 90’s.
Great reaction, Nikki. Now I think your next Pearl Jam reaction should be the song "Alive". Both official music video and mtv unplugged versions are awesome.
Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave were best friends. They even performed a duet on the song "Hunger Strike" by the superband Temple of the Dog, which was a project led by Chris Cornell bringing together the bands Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. R.I.P. Chris Cornell.
AWESOME REACTION NIKKI, MORE PEARL JAM PLEASE!! DEEP DEEP RABBIT HOLE!! "BLACK" UNPLUGGED IM PRETTTY SURE YOU WILL ENJOY IT!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME VIDEO 😊 🩷 🔥 🤘 ✌️
Nice reaction! There's no wrong choices lintening to Pearl Jam songs, live or studio versions; many good songs were suggested for others , but from the same MTV unplugged "Alive" and "Blach" deserves rection.
Yeah, the vibes may be different bc times have changed, but good music is timeless and I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it as much as we did and still do. I humbly suggest watching the video for Alive, it's something of an anthem for many of us.
Pearl Jam came out of Seattle the same period as ALICE IN CHAINS ⛓️, I can only imagine how great of a show it would have been if they did UNPLUGGED during the same time period
I’m excited for you and your PJ journey. Phenomenal band with poetic lyrics and Eddie’s passionate vocal expression. Anything from PJ on MTV unplugged is outstanding, amazing live performers. Check out “Black” for sure. You also can’t go wrong with anything off “Ten”.
If you get a chance check out Hunger Strike by Temple Of The Dog. His collaboration with Chris Cornell is amazing. Their vocals are so good together. Great reaction!! 🙂
Evenflow is about a homeless man. Pearl Jam have a 30+ year discography to explore. Don’t just get hung up on their most popular songs (Alive, Black, Jeremy, etc.) like most reactors do. Dig deep into their song catalog, it will be worth it.
One of the BEST "LIVE" bands I've ever seen, and I've been to alot of concerts. ALICE IN CHAINS ⛓️ was the BEST, I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH to see ALICE IN CHAINS ⛓️, with Layne Staley 4 or 5 times
Welcome to the Pearl Jam Rabbit Hole! Yes, listen to/watch the Unplugged version of "Black", "State of Love & Trust", and "Alive". Also, check out the official video of "Jeremy". Then check out the live version of "Porch" from the Pink Pop Festival! You will LOVE Pearl Jam! Keep going!
once upon a time there is an era where so many kind/genre of music in philippines...Hope you could make a vid reaction of AC/DC's "THUNDERSTRUCK" live...
The reason why it reminds you of the 90s is because after Eddie had arrived with Pearl Jam, every second vocalist attempted to mimic his voice. 1991 was the year of the great album, with Pearl Jam releasing Ten, Nirvana with Nevermind, Metallica with the black album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Use your Illusion 1 & 2 from Guns N Roses, and Badmotorfinger from Soundgarden.
Creed was a cheap knock off. After the success of Pearl Jam, there were several bands that came out in the mid/late 90's who's leads tried to sound like Eddie. But there is only one Eddie. This song is about a homeless Vet that Eddie knew who ended up dying.
This song sounds like barf live. I never listen to live songs cause 99.8% of the time they are terrible. Phil Collins' in the air tonight is probably the best youtube live song i have ever seen.
