Peavey has actually made some great stuff over the years but often gets maligned for their (many) cheap, crappy sounding (but incredibly reliable) amps. This is one of their hidden gems!
It behaves best as a studio box, helping to give a nice sparkle to DI signals. There's no EQ for the clean sound, but it just has a solid clear tone that's really nice. It will clip a bit with humbuckers if it's dimed, so just turn down the drive knob to about 7-8 and it stays clean.
I got it in a semi-functional state, gave it a re-cap some fresher tubes and checked it inside and out. It's solid! Low noise, great reverb sounds and a powerful tremolo. You could actually use the tremolo as a side chain if you timed it real well!
It works well in an effects loop of a guitar amp, but IMO it's better as a studio tool.
Thanks for watching!
