This is Part 3 of a series of videos of my October running session. It picks up the story from where Part 2 left off. Peckforton Light Railway is a 45mm gauge, 15mm scale garden railway situated in Cheshire UK. It depicts my idea of a railway which might have existed to serve the local communities and copper mines along the Peckforton Hills in mid Cheshire. Rik, I just wanted to say that your videos have got me through some really tough times. I don't know what it is, but the calming nature of the videos paired with the story telling is amazing! Your layout looks incredible, it's bedded in so well. The foliage really adds the realsim, it always seems like summer! I'm so glad that all these moments are immortalised forever. So thank you for your hard work and real passion you put into your hobby, I'm sure I speak for every viewer as we all really enjoy your content!!!

Wow! Thanks for that. I do enjoy making the videos but it's really heartwarming to hear they are appreciated so much. Once the weather improves, I must get back outdoors and run some more trains.

Splendid, as always! I envy your rail connected covered storage; my stock not suitable for living outside is put away by the hand of giants… Must not let the FeckHallBahn’s passengers know that Peckforton gives them priority over freight. It’s emphatically the other way around here…

Another great video! How and when do you decide to run a mixed service alongside the timetabled passenger services?

The mixed trains are scheduled into the passenger timetable - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

@@rikbennett9ah I see, how does the freight in the mixed trains relate to the randomised freight in the goods trains? Surely this has to be factored into the freight movement of the other trains?

@@user-dl7jt5en7u Hi. The freight management program generates the goods traffic for both the goods trains and the mixed trains and so keeps track of wagons no matter which type of train they travel in. If the program tells me to send a wagon to the copper mine - then I will attach it to one of the ore trains as the Pickup Goods doesn't travel to the Copper Mine. Hi James. It was an Atropos kit which I don't think is in production any more. I'm not sure of the origin of its prototype, but I suspect it might be an ex WD wagon.

Hi James Sorry, no I don't do Instagram. I do have a Facebook page for the PLR but only look at it around once a month. I'm not really into social media. I find it a bit too time consuming. Rik
