I have a theory about that when there is less space, you more easily feel your heart beat, which can more easily feel like some panic attack. That is at least how i felt at times
People judge me all the time for my sunken chest, and people always call me anorexic even though I'm naturally skinny, and I work out and eat a lot but can't change it. And I also have scoliosis which makes my shoulder uneven
Everything he said is true, I'm also have pectus excavatum and it's really hard to overcome the fear inside me about what if my classmates see my chest, some said oh my God when they see my chest and sometimes they call me bump because of my chest stracture, how I wished I could live normally and feel free to everyone without any doubts
I have the out one . carnatium or something like that...mine goes out. an I had to find out I was different from kids in gym locker room. I had no idea was diff
I dont know if it affects my breathing because im 23 years old, been dealing with it my whole life and dont know how it feels for other people breathe. Mine’s not bad but ive always been self conscious. Im curious the recovery time, how long until your 100% again?
Hey man, it’s been a minute since you posted this comment but I thought I would go ahead and answer it for you. I actually did the surgery exactly 1 months ago and I’m not going to lie, it’s a pretty painful operation. Even after 1 month it still hurts, but it’s significantly better. I was informed by my surgeon that it takes 3 months before I am fully recovered. Hopefully this was helpful. Take care
I seen That 1 and 1500 ppl gave this. . man wish I could win the lottery not t he pectus lottery lol .. it's just how it is now. I gotta live with it . but when I see a 14 or 16 yr old. have it. DO SOMETHING!!!! will thank urself later in life
Pretty I have read that it's about 1in 500-600. I have also been very self-conscious about mine (big chest makes my moderate sunken chest look deeper) since junior high and I am 55 now and even though I have lifted since 16 and am into fitness, it still weighs so heavy on my daily thoughts. People can't even imagine.
I have the deformity and it’s very big. I will never get the surgery. I work out even better that’s the people who do not have it. I also never had any problems of confidence I had dated hot guys and they did not care. I live a normal life
@@J.D.Whiteye mine was in, the post op pain is hectic but alot of that is also in your head and wanting to get back to normal immediately after surgery, don't let your age stop you, only reason it took me this long is because of idiot GPs telling me it's just "cosmetic" , I suggest bypassing GPs and make an appointment with a thoracic surgeon in your area who has experience with the nuss procedure, they will guide you and won't just brush you off, I actually watched a video today of a surgeon talking about a 57 year old who had it done, don't wait till you're that old man, I know what it's done to your life if it's anything as deep as mine was , the rules have changed now, medical insurance can't decline you if your indent is deeper than a certain amount and your surgeon writes a good motivation
@@RB-cn1mx ya mine is out. sticks out... am.not sure but I think this kind is actralky cosmetic... from wat I read anyway. still am more concerned about my daughter developing something like this . and getting her help rather then myself. but I hear it's rare for girls to get it
