I Have the same exact bike the guy who runs pedal electric said they’ll be sending a calibrator out to change the top speed. Been waiting about 2 months now starting to think the calibrator doesn’t exist. Have you heard anything?
It seems like a copy of the AR D-Class, which I just got. (except for the rear suspension which I wish it had) As for speed. The D-Class came as a class 2 Ebike limited to 20 mph. Does your bike have settings? The first thing I did was re-set it to factory settings and it went 33 mph. the next thing I did was reset the max speed, which I found to be set at 33 to 40 (just wanted io make it a higher number) and yesterday it did 34.5! Good luck!
It has been a few months since the serious overhaul. Since then we’ve put a mid-drive motor on the bike and dual 52v batteries. Top speed is now in the low 30s.
@@apevowner761 Sorry, I didn't see your more recent videos before I left that comment. You certainly made some serious changes to improve your bike, Well done!!
I have the same bike and after months of back and fourth with the reps and after they lied about the top speed saying it goes 32 out the box which like dude says, is a lie. I am in process of returning mine and even after waiting months for the calibrator to make it go 32 mph like they say, I rather send the bike back and take the loss on cost of shipping. Do not, I repeat, do not buy pedal! It’s all bs and goes no where near 32+.
I own this bike i will do a review on it but what i will say is that it has climbed every hill i have ever put in front of it dirt, mud, grass. I am underwhelmed by the speed. If your looking for something fast and more so pavement or gravel get the sparkcycleworks bandit. the pedal is a solid bike I feel like the ariel rider grizzly is the best bike.
I wonder if there's some kind of adjustment you can make to get a higher top speed I'm not saying you didn't try that but sometimes you can go into the settings and fix that
There is. There is a red button on the left handlebar and if you press it to the "middle", it will unlock max speed which I had got up to at least 32-33mph.
I cannot be certain. If you just need a bike for yourself that could carry larger objects than there are other better suited bikes for the money. If you just like the looks though look at the company called Zugo. They use the exact same frames and they are able to get even higher speeds.
i understand zugo is better but the “pedal street” im being offered is being sold to me for half the price it retails for(im paying 1300)…. im only using it on the street(downtown) to get from pount A to pount B… so with a budget of 1300 i think the pedal street is my best bet…
@@apevowner761 Literally having the same issue. Did yours get fixed? I have the pro and im getting throttled to either 27.5 or 28 no matter the terrain or decline. They also goofed and installed the wrong weaker motor on the back of mine
The only reason i was considering this bike over Ariel is because of aesthetics. Ariel bikes don't look nice to me. But yikes, after this comment section, makes sense to get an Ariel and have it vinyl wrapped.
Here is the review I tried to post on there web site and they will not let it post seems that they only take 5 star reviews. My review was 2 stars and titled this bicycle is a mixed bag It arrived in good condition . This is my third ebike, so I have some experience. This bicycle is a mixed bag. Pro's It was well packed and protected. It's FAST. It's strong in the ruff. Front suspension is awesome. It looks great. Its big, fits a 5'11" person well. (Almost too big) The breaks are strong. Came with a front fender that was not shown on the web site and was not expected. Con's Handle bars SUCK OUT LOUD. almost no adjustment at all. Because the handle bars have little to no adjustment it puts you into a very forward riding position, feels like you are over the front tire almost like a cafe racer. They are also very narrow. I had to pull the bars so far up out of the tubes that they a not very stable and feel like they might come loose at any time. Still I would like them to be least 4 taller and adjust back towards me. Also had to put new handle bar grips on and space them out to the sides, in order to feel like I have good control. Pedal assist is almost useless. Pedal assist level one brings the bike to 20 miles per hour with a full battery. That is about as fast as I can pedal in high gear. That is way way to fast. Makes the gears useless unless you are pedaling with the bike shut off. In short unless you want to go 20mph pedal assist is useless. Rear suspension works awesome but conflicts with the rear fender beating it up. Burns through the battery really really really fast. Had to bend the tabs on the front fender to make it not conflict with other parts. The display is kinda cheesy. There are no hard points to mount anything on. Rear rack is just short of useless. Overall Thoughts With all that being said would I order it again? No. My old bicycle is almost a fast (not as strong in the ruff) but has a way way better range. Its like I paid $2500 for rear suspension and a much much shorter range. I feel like this bicycle was not cheep and should be much better. There was a whole back story about the order. In short they promised a two weed delevery and I got the bike two months later, and the problem with that is that they charged my credit card the minute I ordered it. And the have a $200 cancelation fee.
The quality is very good, it's also very easy to ride, and finally all that needs to be assembled is the headlight, the rear rack, the handlebars, the pedals, and the rear pegs.
Bro 27mph downhill was the fastest u said u got it? Wth? I get mine going like 40 down hill? Also u so realize the bike does 32 but u have to have a rep run the unlocking on your system them you'll get 32 .. state law only permits 28mph to be considered a bicycles..i get mine to 31-32 on awd and im 511 195lb
If anyone is considering getting one of these please read my review on their Facebook profile first. I've had so many issues that are still not resolved inching closer to a year later. Customer support is abysmal.
@@apevowner761 I made enough of an impact via emails to get a new controller and hub motor sent over with money to cover proper installation. You handled it way cooler than I did lol
@@jrambo7495 I finally made some progress but I’ll update once I install the new motor they’re sending. I just want the advertised speed and power. My pro right now is 750W and not 1000W and it sucks. I can’t go past 28 MPH
So Have you had any issues with the motors not working? After everything that I have dealt with this company, now the damn rear motor won’t turn on so I’m only running the front motor which as you know is very sketchy and burns out at the slightest touch. They can’t give me any trouble shooting advice. Shoot they are unable to tell me how to take the back tire off to fix a flat tire! It’s a joke with this company and I was having crazy high hopes for this bike. 🤬
You better off putting a bafang or cyc mid motor on the trek bike, It only do 25 coz of weight, An hub motors for 3grand is a bit like robbery if you ask me, Soz but i would never buy a hub motor E-bike myself, I just put a 750w 1500w peak bafang on a carrera hellcat lmt edition 29er, About 11-20 hundred all in, An its bad ass, Plus an E-bike put together yourself allows you too fix it yourself, Massive satisfaction, I will be building a full suspension cyc pro next after xmas, There is no need in charging 3 grand for bike like this, Should be free, After all you cant put a cost on killing this planet with crazy amounts of cars an pollution, An if E-bikes wasnt so flipping expensive a lot more people would buy them, I read loads of messages people saying they cant afford an E-bike, Its why i built my own, I couldnt afford a pre-built E-bike, I got 20ah battery an i can get about 80km out of it, First 15 miles an still had 80% left, An i was blowing full on too see what it can do, 36mph so happy with that, Yeah build your own E-bike honestly its great satisfaction....
@@apevowner761 Just put a gear sensor on it, Bafang already had that covered, You have to take foot off too change gear on a car, Unless it automatic, I aint even got one on my bafang, And if you got it in mode 1 or 2 it changes gear with no clunk, I am getting a gear sensor tho, Honestly im not kidding saying mid motor is a lot better than hub, Reason hubs are on pre-made bikes is coz its cheaper to make, Wrong really coz marketing is fooling too many people to paying 3 grand, I bet if you put a bafang mid motor on this bike it would perform better, Last longer, An not burn out like hub motor does, With 3 grand you could build a crazy enduro bike, Full on 12.000w, An enjoy it more as you built it.....
Hey bro, I have a lot of issues with my pedal bike and I paid $2700 for the best one they got and after getting it and seeing how trash is truly wAs I emailed pedal to start the refund process but after 3 months of nothing but bs, the back motor went out completely and I told pedal I was going to seek a lawyer if they ignored me and didn’t refund me so they finally got the hint I was fed up and serious so they went and gave me the full refund and for all the lies they tell about what it can do compared to what It actually can do, they let me keep the bike as well as gave me my money back in full! Lol. Now they won’t even email me back when I am asking about how to remove the rear tire to check out why the motor won’t work. I am thinking about getting another rear hub motor but a more powerful one so I know I’ll need a better controller. I don’t know enough about the electronics of ebikes to get started buying. If you could answer some questions I have I would be very grateful. Lmk
@@maximilianmellick459 Check out someone called High voltage on you tube, Drop him a message he will get back too you, Dudes proper kool, He gave me an invite to a badass E-bike discord, Live youtube chat ect, Everything in one little smart app, Badass, I would never buy a pre-made E-bike simply coz if anything goes wrong you in shit street, If you put it together yourself then you can fix it yourself, lol, Its worth learning how to fit the bafang mid motor its not even that hard to put in, I put together a carrera hellcat lmt edition 29er, Bad ass frame, A bafang bbs02, 20ah battery for about 1200 qiud, I can get about 60 miles from it aswell... Yeah if a bbshd motor was on this style bike it be a lot better, Infact i seen a video someone putting a bafang bbs02 on a frame like this bike an it was bad ass, I can try find the video im on about if you want but there is stacks of vids on youtube with bafang fits, Johnny nerdout is another top fitter, He explains why hub motors are a thing of the past, Hub motors are cheap end of the day, Plus mid motors gives you gears on the back wheel, Hubs dont, Honestly dont bother with hub motors, Cyc motors are a bit better, The stealth version is bad ass looking, Yeah i can drop you a few links if you wants but High voltage and Johnny nerd out is all you needs lol......
6 flat tires in 450 miles on this bike! Worst ebike EVER! Zero customer service - you will need to prove why the issue is theirs and not yours! Company - at least the guys in L.A. - does not stand behind their product at all. Don't buy one - there are SO MANY better bikes on the market!
Lets talk about tires that are bound to go flat in city driving Because of broken glass NOT UNTIL YOU EBIKE DEALERS ADDRESS THE FLAT TIRE ISSUE Will you ever have any thing to boast about BECAUSE BICYCLE TIRES S U C K ! & So does you bike with it's shitty tires!
Omg. We are doomed. All these suck. Software, batteries, motors, drive trains all break! I work on them! hike up your skirts and ride real bikes. Oh yeah. Their environmental footprints are huge. These things are in the landfill within months of limited use!
