At 7:56 when you said here is your dry signal and strummed, the guitar sounded pretty good, and the second you hit the Plumes switch, the bottom dropped out and it sounded like hell.

The volume/low end drop on bass on the third clipping option is really concerning. I just ordered one of these yesterday and I’m just watching this video now. Not very impressed with what I’m hearing on this video but I guess I won’t know for sure until I play it with my band. But it’s sounding like it’s not a very bass friendly pedal so far.

After playing with it for a couple weeks, I can confidently say this is absolutely NOT a bass friendly pedal. There is way too much low end loss on modes 1 and 3 to be usable in a band context. The only usable option is the “clean boost” option 2. Basically I run it to push my amp’s preamp section just after breakup by setting the gain at around 1 and the volume around 9 (slightly louder than the clean signal). I retain my low end pretty well and I get a nice overdriven tube sound from my SVT without the ridiculous volume. This setup works really well for bass if you’re interested in using this as a low-medium gain overdrive. However as a dedicated overdrive for your bass, I would steer clear away.
