Watching horror movies on VHS is nostalgic. I found Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors VHS in my closet and it was an unforgettable experience to watch it on VHS again.

He got game came out in 1998. And Do the right thing was 1989. Although I've never had a plasma TV. I used to watch DVDS on my HD TV. And they looked as good as the Blu-rays. Now that I've got a 4k TV. DVDs look like crap on it.

The Starship Troopers sequels absolutely have Blu-Rays. I have the 3-movie boxset. It's likely just long out of print.

I have the Blu-ray of He got game. It's a double feature with 25th hour put out by touchtone home video.

The Starship Troopers sequels do have blu-rays, it came out as a Trilogy box set. Part 2 only came in the box set. I liked them, the 2nd one is ok, I liked the 3rd one more 2.

See if there are any estate sale websites for your area, seniors that have passed usually have VHS storage systems. I've gotten a tower and a tall/narrow cabinet that both are designed for VHS,only paid $1 each for them. Also have gotten a few lots of VHS tapes but it's usually just Disney, religious, and PBS with the occasional western.

I saw Awake when I was 14. It's about him being awake during the entire surgery and him feeling everything and he can hear everything. Listening to the doctors plot against him or something Lazarus Project is pretty good. You might figure out the movie before it ends which might affect your enjoyment of it (reminds me of Shutter Island a bit). But the song Jaybird by Brian Tyler in this movie is so beautiful

Starship Troopers 2 is the worst in the franchise but I still enjoy it. They all have bluray's. I have a steelbook DVD or part 3. Great design on it.

If you see Nightmare 5 on VHS, definitely grab that one. It's got extended uncut scenes unavailable on DVD or Blu.

Great finds! I remember Singles very well, but I loved Reality Bites (1994) more. Also, Forgotten was very good, as I recall.

You skipped over Vacancy 2: The First Cut. I thought that was a pretty good direct to video flick.

Ken, “Singles” was an early Cameron Crowe film that revolved around the romances and lives of a group of twenty somethings set amongst the early 90s Seattle grunge scene. I picked up the blu-ray when it was first released. Definitely worth the blu-Ray pick up for the extras. I don’t delve into picking up DVDs too much as a lot of older ones just don’t look great on newer 4K TVs and experienced laser rot with my old “True Lies” DVD. I did pick up a DVD of Kevin Smith’s “Dogma” a couple of year’s ago for $10, because you know how expensive the out-of-print blu-ray is online and all of the rights issues behind it. So, I needed at least some form in which to own it physically. I don’t really seek out old VHS tapes even though I still have two working players. I still have VHS tapes I never got rid off that I use for display purposes only. Here in the Orlando, FL area we’ve got Barnes & Noble, the FYE in the Altamonte Mall, and Bright Light Books in Casselberry, FL that are the only ones standing carrying a significant amount more physical media than Target or Walmart. A lot of pawn shops here and thrift stores are very slim pickings when it comes to physical media around here. I did go to BrightLight Books yesterday and picked up a copy of “The Faculty” on blu-ray for $5.99. It was released by Echo Bridge Entertainment in 2012. This store is also my go to in the area for used 4Ks. They also have a website you can purchase from and they ship or at least I think they do. Though it’s not quite the level of boutique titles Hamilton Books has. They can be found at BrightLightBooks.com. They have two physical stores in the Orlando area (one in Casselberry and one in Oviedo). I’ve only ever been to the Casselberry location.

The VHS tapes at Value Village here in Ontario are $2 plus taxes... DVDs are $4 blus are $5+. It's insanity. Oh, I saw Earnest Scared Stupid on the shelf in your video. Such a classic!. Rip Jim Varney. And Lethal Weapon 4 rocks! Chris Rock and Joe Peci's bantering + Mel Gibson vs Jet Li in the rain... 🤘💀

Nice pickup but keep this in mind there a ton of WB dvd that ha e dvd rot ...like LD rot so they don't play. Also fox used to do some messed up dvd back on the day it say it is wide screen but it is winde screen with bars encoesd and croped to fit the 4:3 tv so you may or may not get the full wide screen. I found it out when I watch my copy of "The Rock" dvd

He got game does have a USA blu ray it’s just titled spike Lee joint collection volume 1 which contains he got game and the 25th hour. It might be out of print though as it was a touchstone pictures blu ray release. Just thought I’d give you the heads up

Ken, I went and looked at the extras on my “Singles” blu-ray. If you like the movie, picking up the blu-Ray is well worth it for the extras. It has 25 deleted/extended scenes and three complete live performances from Alice In Chains and Soundgarden.

Ken I watched The Christmas Carol from 1938 and this was the big budget American studio version that I saw first when I was younger. That was before I discovered the superior 1951 Alistair Sim that everyone loves now. It's not a bad version but they condensed the story more in this one and it is in black and white. Good Christmas movie though.

I just watched the Forgotten a couple days ago. It's a good flick that needs a blu-ray.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a stack on movies 10-12. Being in the store for a while 1-2 hours. Have to make it worth my while, though, since the store is an hour away Entertainment.😊 Twisted is really good I liked it. Has a good twist haha.

Singles is a great movie. I didn't know it had a blu-ray. I have that DVD of it.

Ken starship troopers do have bluray first has a 4k 2 didn't have a stand alone bluray but they have a trilogy on bluray

People love to crap on dvds but I feel like most of them look just fine! I recently watched Explorers (1985) on dvd and I thought the picture quality looked great.

Have you checked your DVD's for disc rot especially WB titles. My Lethal Weapon DVD the same one you showed in the shop, mine is completely rotted as well as my Superman collection & some others. Lucky I have those replaced with Bluray & 4k, it's just disappointing that it does happen.

Those VHS don't look factory sealed at all. Looks like the seller used a shrink-wrap machine to reseal them.

Now that you mentioned that you're reorganizing your stuff do you mix DVDs with Blu-rays or you separate them.. for example I have screem 1 and 2 on DVD but I have three and four on BR..

I got Starship troopers 2 on standalone Blu-ray non boot leg so it exists. All 5 starship trooper movie's have been released on Blu-ray

He Got Game was very much a 90s movie, and also includes a sort of out of place very naughty sex scene lol.... and Starship Troopers 2 was GOD AWFUL. God freaking awful.
