Peddlerz Rides #14 - Mini R53 Turbo Conversion with 320hp ! 

2 great Mini's guys. It's fantastic how much variety of parts are available and no two Mini's are the same. Great to see Pedlers cars.

As soon as i saw the yellow mirrors i knew it was Colin's. The fact he finished this the early hours of the day of MITP and then manage to drive it to the show. Amazing!

Really enjoyed both, but the R56 and the reasoning behind the mods for road driving enjoyment were really good to hear. Especially the suspension! Loved the cricket bat comment! 😂😂🤣

Liked the Danish chap as he had a great sense of what was required for his likes and dislikes, he only disliked the seats, but he had done everything else right and the lad with the what appeared to be gold plated pipe to his turbo Wow that is a beast, how can you call it a Mini the word I would call it is a rocket, it was a shame this blasted virus didn`t allow us to see these cars do more stuff, Later Dudes. Not really sure who Petrol Ped is but I’m aware of Colin and his r53 turbo. Absolute diamond guy 👍🏼. Given me loads of tips & time with my mini tuning snags. Lovely mini and driveway build.

Man I’m just sitting here in New Jersey, smokin a joint watching this video and it’s made me think. Firstly, you’re such a sweet lovely person. The way you talk about these other people and pay them compliments is so wonderful. Also England seems like such an unbelievably beautiful place. Seeing the trees and hearing the birds made me feels so warm and happy inside, how I’d love to whip my own r53 around those roads. One day :)

Have had some recent dealings with Colin having bought some bits for my own R53 from his web shop. Seems a lovely chap and was a surprise to see his Mini on here (I knew he was an R53 enthusiast.....but had no idea how other level his car is). Worth noting that its c.320hp at the wheels....so crank hp is going to be 15/16% more than that....so probably the wrong side of 350bhp....just epic! Cheers Pete yet another great video.

Colin’s mini must be a pocket rocket. The engineering in his mini is jaw dropping. I thought Palle’s mini was very cool indeed with the perfect blend of modifications. His presenting style is brilliant. Great series Peter.

What a car!

Re the R53 Mini: I would be extremely worried about having the methanol tank inside the car with no safety protection for the car occupants. In fact, I am sure that is illegal. Any fuel tank with inflammable liquid inside should be fitted under the car's metal bodywork so there is a metal layer protecting the occupants in the vehicle. If anyone hits you in the side or the rear and that tank splits there could be a fireball inside the car! Re the R56: great video 👍

R53 is impressive and r56 is subtle but perfectly set up for his needs. Round abouts and B roads is what I'm building my mini for 😁

Lockdown isn’t so bad after all, I have to say Colin your R53 is nothing short of spectacular. I was blown away by the level of engineering excellence & Peter you have to do a dedicated video in the future - please. The gentleman from Denmark 🇩🇰, I really enjoyed his “streetable” thinking. An affordable format for getting what he wanted from an already capable MINI. I had to smile at his fetish’s for roundabouts & being slapped by a cricket bat, hmm ....... a topic for a future video ? Perhaps not, too much information best kept a secret 🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣. Keep ‘em coming 👍.

I never knew I needed to know what the opposite of an American car guy would be. Someone setting up their car for roundabouts answers that question. :)

Really intrigued by Colin’s R53. The supercharger whine is one of my favourite things about the R53, so would love to hear out the turbo conversion sounds.

I honestly feel the body lines/curves of the R53, mainly the bonnet, look the very best of all the MINIs to date. I'd also like to actually hear this converted R53 one day. See what you can do about that Mr. Ped. Even though the engineering is amazing, I still admire the sound of that so hard to see super charger. PS, yes, I own an R53, can you tell?

Can’t say I’m specifically a mini fan. I just love cars in general. It really interests me to see what modifications can be done. Some more subtle than others. Some of the power figures are astonishing! I would have some great ideas for my car, but technically I lease it! I am a disabled driver on the Motability scheme.

The R53 looks like it has had a lot of thought (and money) put into the mods.What a track weapon. I don't like the way it looks personally, not a fan of blacked out everything (everyone's doing it, it's common, and imo looks a bit chavvy). But, looks are subjective, and aside from that, the car is a work of art mechanically, well done sir.

Nice cars , I would disagree at 15:44 the ram air on a dyno will show minimal hp gain because your not pushing cold air in , your stationary when testing

Is it me or is that turbo hot side cracked on the hobo setup?

I wish I knew howto weld..It would been so much easier doing this to make power than doing my head , cam and sprintex..though my cars fast , it would have more potential bring turbo Wow 27 psi..must be a blast , im making 21psi only BUT it peaks at 4100rpm

Does someone know if you can run a coil on plug setup with the factory ECU? By making a harness with two groups of two cylinders receiving the signal from the 3 pin wasted spark connector? If someone has an answer to this question please let me know. Thank you.
