Pediatric MOGAD & NMOSD 

On April 12, 2023, we were joined by Dr. Brenda Banwell, Chief of the Division of Neurology and Co-Director of the Neuroscience Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and holder of the Grace R. Loeb Endowed Chair in Neurosciences, who discussed and answered questions related to pediatric MOGAD & NMOSD.
In 2023, Dr. Banwell led an international panel to establish new criteria for properly diagnosing myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated diseased (MOGAD) published in The Lancet Neurology. These guidelines are the first clinical guidelines for MOGAD and provide an important framework for distinguishing MOGAD from other neurological disorders.
