And it's hard to appreciate how good he really is, because he's so smooth it doesn't look like he's doing that much.... a black belt to him is as easy as a purple belt rolling with someone their first day.. it's amazing.
@OffspringFTW65 I wish all of us were like this. I seen royce at my academy rolled with one of my other instructors, he was so slow and fluid that he looked like he wasnt trying and then didnt use any energy at all. I try rolling with people and they are going so hard and being so rough and using all strength and some technique, im for technique all the way, im a white belt with 2 stripes under royce right now its hard to get every detail at my level.
Kori1293 I hear you....too many people training BJJ use force and max effort instead of flow. Watch Royce, Pedro, Rickson...all flow. All Jiu Jitsu. We all should be so lucky to train under these legends.
He should not be a black belt, I don't know what kind of guard that was. The problem with this method is they teach no effective guards. The guy pulled side control, he had no guard. lol Spider guard would have stopped that initial advance but I don't think that guy had any idea what to do.
