"It ain't about the rewards with me, it's about the impact!" I love that quote right there. He's going by that "virtue is its own reward" rule and he's right. Anything tangible (money, certificate) as compensation for doing the right thing doesn't compare to the internal elation you feel inside your body when you do something that has a powerful positive effect on someone else. It's just indescribable the excitement you feel inside your heart when someone is appreciative of you listening to them or talking to them or doing something for them that makes them feel like they matter as a person. Now, you've made yourself memorable to that person and that person will go off and might tell his friends or family about how you touched his or her heart that day. =)
pee wee be like " everybody say I'm the greatest, but I tell them I'm just trying to show the youth how to be the greatest" even though I scored over 100 points in a game...
John Wolf You don't know what you're talking about! If you saw the Pro Rucker league of the 60's to mid 70's you wouldn't say that! The greatest NBA ballers competed there. I saw it...every weekend! It was OUR summer outdoor Madison Square Garden. Dare to call Kareem Jabbar, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Archibald, Connie Hawkins, Charlie Scott, etc "small time. These are Hall of Famers!
