PeeWee's Playhouse was a hugely under rated show. There were so many talented actors that were on that show. May he rest in peace granting wishes from beyond !

Peewee's playhouse was one of many reasons growing up in the 80s was awesome. I cried a little when Jambi died, felt like a piece of my childhood gone.

I've got to say that the urn really warms my heart. What a loving last gift to John and the kids whose imaginations were sparked by his character.

He now joins Pee-wee Herman in heaven R I P Paul deeply be missed

As an Adult, I would wake up and watch this show Saturday mornings. Epic show.

Thank you for taking us on this visit. I have always Loved John Paragon. His comedy routines with Paul and solo have made me laugh. My sister and I always loved Pee Wee Play house. She was a proud member of Pee Wee's fanclub before she died. We watched them a lot. You taught me more about Pee Wee. I will miss them both..... Swiggy too❤️Much Love.

Two deaths in recent years really shook me: John's and Gilbert Gottfried's. RIP John, I wish you a peaceful and happy afterlife! Hopefully Jambi will grant that final wish for you. 1:03 what a depressing statement, that there are young people who are unaware of Pee Wee's Playhouse.

I'll always remember the Peewee HBO special where Jambi received a set of hands in the mail and said, in paraphrasing, "There's been something I've been wanting to do for a long time". LOL... Long live Jambi

I’m a teenager, but my parents were both children of the 80s. I grew up watching Pee-Wee on DVD because of them. As a weird little kid (who is still just as weird now), I was hooked on the show. It became a big part of my childhood. I had no idea the actor who played Jambi passed. It’s sad to hear, but I’m so glad he got that awesome urn as he final resting place.

Let’s not forget he helped Cassandra Petersen create Elvira. Plus he was in UHF with “Weird Al” Yankovic!

So Glad John Paragon got a plot at Hollywood Forever---- a deserving man, for the great joy that he gave all of us... I was not a child when Jambi came into my life, but I can understand the meaning of childhood memories of incredible people who ushered us into understanding human life... Wow!!! I didn't know he passed, his urn is magnificent! Paul & Cassandra were obviously true real friends to John, to give him such a beautiful send off, I'm not gonna lie though, it makes me curious if he had any family, seeing that his friends had to be the ones to handle such affairs

The movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" came out when I was 18. Big hit amongst my friends and myself. This rolled over to watching Pee Wee's Playhouse stoned on Saturday mornings with my roommates in like 1987. We loved it. I do remember Jambi and a slew of other bizarre characters on the show. They made us howl laughing while eating large salad bowls full of Captain Crunch!

Pee Wee's Playhouse was one of the very few reasons I wanted to wake up earlier on a Saturday to catch it. I loved watching it so much and wish I could have got a wish every day too. Long Live Jambi.

Thanks for the tour, John passed away too young. I still have the vhs boxed set of Pee Wee's playhouse. I think I'll watch the Christmas special this weekend.

Michael, John Paragon was also on maybe 3(?) episodes of Seinfeld. He played part of a gay couple that Kramer was terrified of! It took me a long time before I found that out; he was absolutely hilarious!

I seen PeeWee’s big adventure in the theater when it came out. I grew up loving the PeeWee Herman movies, then I actually watched PeeWee’s Playhouse as an older kid that didn’t watch cartoons anymore and was happily surprised as a teenager to find Paul Reuben’s in Cheech and Chong movies and then when we got HBO or maybe SuperTV seen PeeWee’s first playhouse he did live for adults. After he got in trouble I swore for years he was in that purple dinosaur costume as Barney and was sad to find out it wasn’t Paul. Thank you. This was fun to watch. RIP Jambi.

I had the pleasure of knowing John very briefly in a professional setting. He was a... complicated guy. He was supremely funny, but sad in a lot of ways. He had this sardonic and detached way of being biting, but also very encouraging. He demanded that you operated at what he called, 'The peak of your intelligence', never being afraid to write material that might go over people's heads, but made YOU laugh. I wish I'd known him better, but I was just a little pissant comedy writer on a writing staff. John was my boss and my mentor. I feared him in a way and I never wanted to disappoint him. Even though our time together was much shorter than any of us wanted, I learned a lot from him. Thanks, John. Quick story: The first time I met him, I called him Mr. Paragon. He looked me up and down and said, 'Did my Father just walk in?' He then preceded to lay into me, saying, 'How old are you?" I was in my early twenties at the time, 'He said, 'Oh! I've drank bottles of WINE older than you! How about you call me John and I'll call you... 'Hey you' Does that work?" I thought he was making fun of me, but after he said that, he winked. A quick wink that only I could see. There was a hint of Jambi for a minute. He was letting me know that I was in on the joke. After that, I relaxed... somewhat. LOL

Dude!!! What a great video. Super special that homage and respect is paid here to Paragon. I drum for The Dickies, but have a metal band as well since 2000' called Jahmbi. Directly taken from Paragon's character (and now clearly, a sandwich shop). Our bass player met him a few years back, and since then, he would always ask about the band (Jahmbi) everytime he ran into Paragon. What a cool dude in real life. Thanks again for this video!!!!

I'm grateful that this was so tasteful and memorializing. Often a life gets reduced down to one stone that never actually tells you anything about a person.

I love that cemetery. I wish I'd known Jambi was there. He was a close second favorite to Randy, the bad boy marionette. And I like the way he said, "Long live Jambi", like 'long live me'. 😄

First time I saw John Paragon was on Movie Macabre with Elvira. He played Breather, a greasy guy who would call E from a phone booth and tell her a corny dad joke. He would start with 'Hello, Elviris" tell the joke and end with a bad laugh. Loved those bits...

Pee Wee’s Playhouse was amazing but the more “adult” special he did, I think for HBO(?), was my favorite. Strangely enough, I was allowed to watch it as a little kid. Haha

I'm a Big fan of Pee Wee Herman and I watched his TV show Pee Wee's playhouse so many times since I was a kid and when I was teenager. I watched his movies so many times since I was a teenager. I do know about Jambi the Genie and I like him and his magic moments at Pee Wee's playhouse, Long Live Jambi. Great job Michael and Happy Halloween. 🕸️🕷️🦇🎃💀💚🖤❤️

So sad all of my childhood is passing away far too soon and now as of a little more than a week ago paul Robbins / Pee-wee Herman is gone far too soon as well maybe someday he will join his friend and blue genie beside him and have a wish for the rest of time.😢

I found Pee Wee thru his appearances on Letterman. So I was already an adult when the Playhouse came out. I think originally it was for adults. In 83 John had a special on HBO, the Paragon of Comedy. My friends & I loved the big ass head character John Keister. The joke was he had terrible breath 😆

My favorite Genie. No other genie can get close to his powers and greatness.

John also had a role in the Weird Al movie UHF and was Cedric, one half of Cedric and Bob on Seinfeld.

I always loved the acting between David Lander and Derf on Lavern and Shirley.

I got to meet John at Totally 80's Pizza in Fort Collins, Colorado. I still have the pictures I took with him, an autographed Jambi picture, and my memories of the event. We mostly talked about writing the Elvira movie. He was a very cool dude and his autograph is one of my most cherished in my vast autograph collection.

👍 thanks for the video, I didn't know who this guy was, Pee-wee wasn't as well known over here in the UK outside of a few movies so Pee-wee's playhouse cast are pretty much an unknown. I'll tip a glass to his memory and say a prayer because nobody deserves to be forgotten.
