@@prepperandson1399 What makes you say that ? I saw an interview where he talks about really liking Napalm Death. He even has a scene in Ace Vantura with Cannibal Corpse.. Have you not seen them ?
There's a few subgenres of death metal, and there's some pretty awesome stuff, but there's a whole different level of excitement when it comes to slam.
@@fatefatefate Feel you on that one. Lots of good brutal death, even some deathcore with slam, but when it comes to being purely slam, and good, definitely quite limited
Love how the band is made up quite literally of hardcore dudes playing brutal death metal. That’s actually exactly how i expected current gen slam death metal bands to be like tbh. Goodshit boyz 💘 Slams are everywhere
@@KaskataSFBD “beatdown breakdowns”? Uh you mean slam riffs? Which is the entire premise of slam death metal? Ok (which this is nothing but) No idea what a “beatdown riff” is, if you’re talking about beatdown hardcore then yeah… you have a really warped understanding of what beatdown sounds like
This is badass. It has become my go-to with a fresh headfull. Ok tho, help me out. I hear lotsa arguments. This ain’t slam, that ain’t slam, etc… so, this ain’t slam, is it? I If not, what is it? I mean, I used to think of bands like Kraanium and Cerebral Engorgement and shit like that as slam. Is that correct? Sorry, just an old stoner who don’t really know his genres.
I like Tweaker Massacre (Track 5 of the mixtape) the most. Anyway, cool album. Very slammy tracks, and I like how the drums produce a variety of rhythmic patterns, involving the snares, kicks or hi-hats... or any combination of the three. There would also be parts where the snares or the kicks would fade out only to come back in, for example - sometimes, it happens with the drums itself as a whole, disappearing at parts to return later. What Im tryna say is the drummers pretty good, and the drums manage to create a very groovy feel because of these rhythmic patterns; its just so "slammable." I can see myself headbanging to this a lot.
Actually, I like the fade-outs and comebacks as a whole, like the parts where itd just be the vocalist doing pig squeals acapella or parts where the drums would disappear for a bit and all we hear is the guitar riff
