Yooo vocalist/guitarist of Short Bus Pile Up here and I swear to god I wish this guys were coming up at the same time we were pushing the slam sound. They say the same shit/act the same way we did as a band and it’s fucking sick seeing them push the same sorta stuff and mindset that we were before life got in the way. Much respect to Peeling Flesh, from one of the OG slam bands from 10+ years ago 😂
@@austinhirom3658 fuck yea! We love you guys too! I just started a little one man project last month now that I’ve got a little more time to work on music again and would love to link on SOMETHING with you dudes. Lemme know if y’all would be down!
15yrs ago me and my homies were exactly this, responding in movie or tv quotes, busting balls, heavy fucking music, and smoking MMMMAAAAADDDDDD weed effectively speaking in tongues I’m happily listening to this, because Slam is gangsta rap, and peeling flesh is the heart of heavy. Every bit of heavy music was born out of this right here inebriants, tight friendship, laughs, and a LOVE for music….thank you peeling flesh for keeping the reality of it all alive good shit boys
This man gets it. Yes. That is us even better than we could ever explain it. Thank you you get it. Because everyone butt hurt or talking shit don't get it.
Facts, literally felt some of this recently, a lot of the people I used to mosh wit when I first got into live music don't really show up and a few are here if a big joint happening like The Acacia Strain or maybe Last Ten Seconds of Life. Music always comes thru but Its always that awkward mix of push pits and us throwing down plus those shows are rare too 😮💨 but when Snuffed on Sight came thru, Everybody showed up 🥹 we terrorized Buffalo that night. Niggas were in fetal positions out here 😂 God bless the security who know how this ish goes 🫡
These guys are ridiculously fucking sick. Was instantly blown away when I first listened to them. Such a breath of fresh air while doing justice to the slam genre. Their drummer is criminally underrated dude is ungodly beast.
This is THE most accurate statement in all of Death Metal, ever (having been involved personally since its inception): "EVERYONE loves Slam; they just don't know it yet." ...plus I'd add, "...or they just won't admit it."
Honestly Garza Podcast is now my favourite entertainment platform for anything music related. THANK YOU Garza for having one of my favourite bands of all time on your podcast.
so crazy these guys are fellow Oklahoma dudes, as im a Tulsa boy too...them and "The Agony Scene" are on of VERY FEW rock/metal bands from here that are decently big....tons of country from here but not heavy stuff
Was such a pleasure & absolutely awesome time to finally meet them & watch them tear shite up here. Humble, every, hardworking dudes & great, great senses of humor. Hope the snacks made it a few days before blah!! All the best broskis. Keep the rep here going!!🖤🖤🖤🥁🥁🥁🥁🤘🤘🤘👊👊
The Winnipeg show was absolutely insane! Sold the fuck out, packed ass room. One of the best shows I've been to this year, and definitely one for the books. Can't wait for both Suicide Silence and a Peeling Flesh to roll through here again.
I’ve lived in California, my whole life, but I was born in Lawton Oklahoma. Thanks for name dropping some Oklahoma metal bands been looking for something good from there for a long time. 🤘🏼PeelingFlesh
Soto and Joey are so locked in man. Yes it’s all and yes it’s blasts and shit but those two have an insane amount of groove. Just watch them filling in with snuffed on sight on here - they add this groove and bounce that you just can’t explain.
Love the John Huber credit. His vocals are some of my favorite out of anyone in the death metal scene. And he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Very original. Even for brutal death
Jonathan Huber ex I Declare War, ex Pathology, ex Aegaeon is a beast. I think everyone in the scene watched the I Declare Goddess video too. Iconic. Afaik he produced some new music with I Detest and Bludgeoned.
42:32 "shout out to corny ass boyfriend" lmao these guys are hilarious. not only they tear shit up on stage but they seem good people. I became a bigger Peelingflesh fan after seeing this, thanks Garza
This was a legit interview. I appreciate all the dude’s honesty. Though hard to get into some of their music. I do have their track “The Come Up” I like that one, heavy sic. If they have anything else to recommend similar to that track then I’ll definitely check it out. Even though I have checked out a bunch of their stuff already but maybe I just need to either listen again or maybe haven’t even heard yet some stuff they would highly recommend. 🤘💀🤘🎸
I love this podcast so much Garza and y'all slaughtered in Rochester NY was one of my favorite performances. These boys specifically were one of the best of the night and hearing how they are off the stage is amazing y'all had me at pause ......Nemesis ...Cradle Of Filth. I rep your chrome skull shirt one of the best pieces I own. Come back soon both bands please and maybe one day I can share a stage with y'all ❤🤡
Shout out to being drug free and still smoking hella weed. I also fucked my brain up during covid on acid. And it was a life changing experience but it's part of the reason why I turned my life around. I watched too many family fall and took too much to try to get back up up. So I felt that. Much love to peelingflesh.
What are a few good bands to start off with slam? I just found out about this last week with Snuffed On Sight and soon after heard these guys. Loving it so far. 🤘🤘
Damn I'm from Albany had no clue Empire sucked with merch cuts! 😂😂😂 Bummed I missed yall didn't even see anything about the show til a day or 2 after the show
Y’all talking about SE Asian slam… look up Pus Vomit. I saw a live video w the drummer sitting behind the kit on 3 plastic lawn chairs lmao he said fuck a drum throne
