peep-magazine draw parallels with their self publishing graffiti magazines to three unique serial killers - Richard Ramirez, Dennis Rader and Britains civil servant - Dennis Nilson. All three serial killers terrorised and murdered innocent people during the 70s to the late 80s. peep explore 'Killing For Company' which was originally, a book by Brian Masters with Dennis Nilson full cooperation and based on the killers mind and motives.
The publication BTK ( Bomb, Tag , Kill ) was taken from the name Dennis Rader gave himself, which translated into Bind, Torture, Kill.
The Night Stalkers graffiti publication by TNS was taken from Richard Ramirez who was dubbed the 'The Night Stalker' for his 'Walk-in -killer ' motives. Ramirez stalked the city of California during the mid 80s.
Founding member of the Graff TNS crew INCH, explains the books mentioned are collective ideas, which were from members of the TNS crew in Newcastle upon Tyne and not a solo project. Inch recalls conversations with graffiti tagger Gatsb and Micro, who both admitted to be fascinated with the motives of serial killers.
peep also mention 'Hotel Cecil' which was a notorious affordable housing establishment situated on 'Skid Row' Los Angeles. The Hotel Cecil changed their name to Stay On Main Hotel because of the hotels reputation for violence, murder and suicide.
INCH insists that it's not the TNS crews intention to endorse serial killers in any way, but more of a 'play on words' to reflect their artistic graffiti work.
