Not sure... RIk was born from youthful innocence and idealism, Jeremy's is a lazy appropriation of tropes that he thinks will make him popular with the kind of crowd he wants to be popular with. There are multiple other episodes that show him to be kind of reactionary and misantropic when circumstances make him take off the mask.

This includes scenes in which Sophie & Dobby are in the same room together, yet they never speak to each other in PS. Two major characters who are by far the two women who are in Mark's life the most choose to meet but never speak to each other. Does Dobby not want to know more about him from Sophie?

"Is she from Russia or one of those made up countries?" - Jeremy is clearly a Putin fan/stooge. Ironically the actress Vera Filatova was a Russian speaker from Ukraine who was pro-Putin in 2014 when he took Crimea (based on her twitter account) but seems more neutral now and talks about Ukrainian refugees she's helping in Ireland.

@@forthrightgambitia1032 The anti-Bush poem was probably written by him simply because it was cool to dislike him, so he thought he could use it to appeal to Elena. Now he might pretend to be into saving the environment, be against COVID restrictions or be a BLM supporter, depending on who he was pursuing at the time.

Dobby has a certain geekappeal. Unlike most characters in PS she wears her heart on her sleeve, says what she means and doesn't really worry much about what other people think about her.
