He would have been a great dramatic actor as well. You see Forte, Armisen, Hader, Odenkirk, etc. display this as I think these comedians are also some of the best actors. Gone way too soon RIP Phil..

It's sort of an odd sketch but Phil Hartman is so good. He really was a great actor who was brilliant at comedy.

It's odd because all three of those main characters are unlikable. The ex-con who talks about sex rather than doing it, and seems to have a medical fetish, the peeping Tom who won't stop,, and the prostitute who puts in minimal effort and phones in her lines in a monotone.

It's amazing how this is 1987 and Kevin Nealon besides the slight change of hair color and maybe a few facial wrinkles, looks practically the same in 2023😳

I was frustrated by how many chances Phil was giving Nealon's character. For someone just got out of prison, he sure has the patience of a saint.

These late 80s seasons had a lot of great atmospheric sketches. Also, because the cast was so small back then, it felt much more intimate. Today, sketches are way too overblown and corny.

This would have been way better if it turned out the peeping tom was working with the hooker to trick johns into not going through with it and running out the clock.

Yes it’s funny. But the unpredictable wiles of Hartman off-balance everything. The audience is barely laughing during the whole sketch. He was a genius.
