This is the kind of stuff I like. No electronics, no speaker. A good reminder of just how much quality went into these pieces back then, it operates by itself and sounds amazing!
it might be hard work to make an actual mechanical eletric or battery operated movement with real parts and chime rods with german movements too though besides using 3d printers parts.

Hey I have the same clock as you!!, its sat in my dining room, and its a propper conversation stopper when it chimes, dinner guests watch it when it chimes, and you just here the word "WOW thats nice"
What on earth was that I heard assaulting my ears in the background? It sounded like a container of some kind! It wouldn't be a clock since they are big, heavy and are made of wood so they would've produced a louder sound! No blaming any clocks, my finger is on a container!
