My favourite fight is with gwyn. Chat suggests her to parry the attack but pekora so bad at timing she just fighting normally and using terrain to avoid him and to heal and dodging his attack. Its so good to watch
Dodging Gwyn is not that easy as well. There is a very small time window to attack there. But I really enjoyed her fight with Manus. That fight is really hard if you don't know Manus's weakness.
agreed. it's a bit janky and wierd but it's got charm just like the rest. personally it's my favorite of the 3 based on the style and atmosphere alone. I really hope she doesn't skip it.
Her Manus kill was impressive, most people would get impatient when the boss is low to finally kill it after struggling for so long but she stayed calm and waited out Manus' attacks. Nice Peko.
If ever you're having trouble parrying Gwyn, block the first swing and parry the second, the timing is easier. I'm extremely happy Pekora played the original Dark Souls, it's an amazing game!
Sad to see this come to an end, my japanese is only good enough to understand Peko chan like 25% of the time but Dark Souls is one of my all time favorite games so even though her streams were at 3am my time, I enjoyed staying up and watching the lil war criminal rabbit's duality of getting her teeth kicked in, ego crushed and then how smug and show boaty she gets when she wins. She learns incredibly quickly, different from Kanata who turned out to be a parry god but truly a genius in another way.
@@kei3882 In truth, I'm fine with both. It's just that DS2 doesn't really feel like a continuation from DS1, it feel so foreign. It's a good game, but a bad Dark Soul if you will.
@@kei3882 I dont find 2 entertaining to watch at all and playing it I wouldn't say i hated it but I never got excited for anything either its just an ok game.
@@hydrus6782 DS2 takes time to get used to, I think. I couldn't stand the game at first, but over time I began to appreciate how different it plays from the others. I think it even does some things better than DS3 and Elden Ring.
@@Lovelle1 Can't arge with that. I do like it too, I just prefer DS1 and 3 over it. Still a good game, it just miss "something" that the 1 and 3 have, I can't quite figure out what exactly though.
i think she would like ds2, tho i know everyone wants to just jump right to 3. glad pekora is getting into the trilogy regardless. nousagis eating good
DS2 gets too much hate for no reason. I remember watching someone else play it and getting killed because of their own mistakes. But instead of getting aggravated at themselves or the specific spot/enemy, they call the whole game trash because their chat is constantly spamming bad game.
It's just more niche than the others, it lacks that Miyazaki flare, I played it but would also recommend people to skip it and go to 3, if they want more they can come back to 2.
I'm sure it's been patched since then, but back on the PS3 when the Artorias DLC first came out, you could stand outside of Manus's boss room and see his red eyes. You then could shoot arrows at him from outside the fog door and kill him (or bring him down to whatever HP you want before going into the fight). Took a long time to do of course, and that's not very good streaming content. Fun fact, the Artorias DLC came about from fan request for more content, so they took some cut things and turned it into a full DLC game. That's why some areas might feel pretty barren compared to the main game.
This dragon is very light, but if you are hunting for its tail (from which the sword drops if I remember correctly), then good luck, it took me about 20 minutes of real time to chop off the tail(I used zweihander)
When she's fighting gwyn, i really want to tell her to parry only when she's close and when the hand motion (of gwyn) starts swinging, unfortunately japanese ain't my first language lol.
I'm guessing Pekora never tried parrying him again after that initial attempt... (Also who's telling her to skip Dark Souls 2!? No skipping 2 dammit!!) Edit: I'm already seeing some Bad Takes in the Replies
It's a hidden boss, i was hoping JP bros would try to tell her but maybe she just wasn't reading chat at the right time. It's a shame but the ladyboy lives another day.
No Priscilla either, even though she seemed to have been at the Painted World bridge in this vid. I know its a lot of work but these videos are 100% too short.
Just a compilation of her death clips is not that interesting. Maybe show her first full encounter with the boss, a few points where she learned how to dodge a certain mechanic or saw a certain mechanic, then her full last fight?
@@michaelkara3436 I just think it’s very unoriginal. Its best moments are when it’s trying to be the first game, and that doesn’t make for much of a compelling replay of the game. A lot of the areas are dark and dreary and feel like a slog to wade through. The DLC is really good, but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s a high point or because the base game was such an average experience. The loss of poise and limited character customization is a let down, too. Weapon arts are completely useless for the most part so splitting the estrus flasks is a needless action. Especially since the ring that makes magic builds anywhere near viable is tied to NG++
Being average is no reason to hate it. It has probably the most varied bosses of the trilogy, among the best DLCs, it fixed online from DS2 and the mechanical issues you mention are pretty exaggerated.
