Like your setup. I recently bought one and have customized a 4x8 utility trailer for it. Once I'm done modifying the boat I will be putting out a video. Thanks for sharing.
When checking the power on the power center, make sure the trolling motor is off for at least a minute. Took out the bass raider again and the seat extension and the extended handle are a must. The 55lb Minn Kota is a beast. I had this boat in a foot of water. Snuck up on school of carp. No fishing action yet. Until we get fishing and stop blowing things up, Check out Fishing with Vance to see how it's done, check out how they added a table to the raider.
looks good man. I have one as well but carpeted ours and modified it just a little different. good luck this year fishing hope to see some more vids thanks
Wow great vid!! I just got my Bass Raider 2 weeks ago and haven't done many mods yet. I'm concerned about the mounting process regarding the anchor trolley and the cleat for the dock rope (as well as anchor rope). I'm using a 15lb anchor and fear that since the plastic is so thin that it will literally pull the trolley and cleat from the boat. What screw and sealant did you use to secure those mounts?? Thank you so much!
I used a marine sealant. I marked where I was going to screw in and put a generous amount in the locations and on mounts. enough where I had to wipe the excess.
Good, informative video. Do you have a bare weight for the boat? How hard to load into pickup? Also, have you had any problem going against waves with the trolling motor?
Without the battery and motor it is pretty easy to load. I am no Hercules. When by myself pull using the front handles and lift the front end to sit on the tailgate. A bit awkward but easy enough. Then slide it up. Of course easier with another person, but not necessary. Does well with small waves. I have had it out in pretty gusty weather. Just uses up the battery faster. Instead of 4 hours, just get 3.
@@smalltownpondhopper4619 So are you generally getting about 4 hours per full charge? Is that running it pretty solid or on days when you don't have the wind and you're just puttering around is 4 hours about the max?
The fish finder is mounted next to the battery to allow enough wire to be connected to battery and the data wire wraps around the trolling motor to the transducer that is clamped on the bottom of the prop motor.
Tyler Olson The oars are mounted with a pvc oar clip. They are attached using a silicon adhesive. It is the type of clip you get for inflatables. Can get a pair for 8-10 bucks on Amazon. I just had one fall off after a year so the silicon works well to hold them on.
