I bought a Pelican 5 years ago, white one. I honestly can’t remember the size right now, one of the larger ones though. I put two bags of ice with drinks and some sealed hot dogs and deli meats. This cooler stayed outside in 90 to 100 degree heat for 6 days, it was under the tongue of a gooseneck trailer in the shade. After 6 days, there was still ice in the cooler. Now, I’m not buying anything in that teal color, but I can tell you that I would absolutely recommend Pelican products to anyone.
Jeesus, everyone's ripping on the sales pitch the representative gave. Bottom line, I couldn't give two fucks about how the damn thing looks. What matters is that Pelican is making a more affordable line of rifle cases that are almost definitely still going to be more trustworthy than 90% of the cheaper stuff out there.
I like this case for the price at $ 200. Currently pelican has a 15% discount so being from DE without sales tax, this is $170 free ship. However, all other pelican cases have lifetime warranty except the VAULT series. Thats somethig to consider before buying. I dont know why they are only giving 1 year warranty with all VAULT models.
What I'm sad about it I've got almost $2,000 in pelican cases and they no longer warranty their cases i have a pelican 1770 a 1750 two 1720 two 1500 1495
I have to be honest... I'm currently in the market looking for a good hard case for my rifles and guns for transportation and this marketing demo made me look elsewhere. :/ I've wanted a Pelican case, but these ridiculous colors, the bullshit talk about everything around the company, etc... it just pushed me away. Has the company lost focus?
Its not worth the hassle for a small issue that I can fix myself. Just wish they would do it from the factory. I bought a nanuk, I think was, with the pre cut foam for my DJI mavic drone and they have small velcro bits in the lid section to hold the foam in. Its never once fallen out.
Yeah this is mostly bullshit. Talk about logos and colors.. yeti came out with that color long ago.. I'm not for one or the other, but yeti does have a cooler sticker!
If you like Yeti and Pelican but don't want the price tag that goes with it while still keeping the EXACT capabilities that the se higher end brands offer try out Ozark Trail you can literally pick up the exact same performance and limited lifetime warranty for 1/3 the price that you pay for the simple fact of their name. If interested just go to your local Wal-Mart and I promise you will be pissed to find how much more they are charging people for their name sake only.
Adam Rose, I do have an Ozark Trail 52 quart I picked up at Wal-Mart on sale. I have a Yeti 75 quart as well. I will say that they preform similarly. I purchased both within a month of each other and have been using them both regularly for about 17 months. The yeti did cost around 200 dollars more. It does have over a third more capacity. Also I have lost two of the "feet" that are screwed on the bottom of the ozark and the latches have both dry rotted to the point they are inoperable. The Yeti seems to be holding up with slightly harder use as it is in the bed of my crew served work truck and the ozark resides in the bed of my personal truck. They are both great coolers and they will out perform the average Coleman or Igloo. But this is America and you get what you pay for. And it's not just the stickers!
You know qhwn you buy pelican you almost cant because the lack of distributors. And if you can your buying the smallest damn box. WTB big as sheet for my Docuements incase of fire or zombies, or atf.
What a lousy presentation, instead of showing the handgun and revolver cases (which is need) the guy wastes my time showing products for cooling and keeping warm drinks...
Come on 150$ for a cooler, REALLY PELICAN. It's a cooler Lets see 50$ for the actual cooler 50$ for the pelican name and 50$ for the extra 2 cans it holds. Iv'e seen coolers for less than that with way more features. What a rip off.
