Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue fountain pen review - yes this is a Pelikan M120, not one of the M200 series models! For some reason I can’t get M120 to stick in my head!
The Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue fountain pen is for all intents and purposes a M200 and I love these models. This Iconic Blue is a lovely and unusual colour and the broad nib is a pleasure to write with.

One of my first fountain pens is my Pelikan 120. Also a smaller pen but a great writer. That Waterman Inspired Blue looks fantastic !!

A sqeeky nib would do my head in. Apart from that everything else about this pen looks ideal

I agree that, ultimately, a pen's size really doesn't matter, except for the extremes in both length and girth. I think some reviews where the person goes on about their hand size time after time, sometimes are really just trying to justify the pens that they currently prefer. WaskiSquirrel shows a good amount of his proportions, and doesn't look that small, but he prefers slim pens. I've seen folks with frankly small hands (they look like chicken feet on camera) that like the Montblanc 149 and larger. I, personally have a range of sizes, but mostly for the writing experiences they provide. I'm currently stuck using a slender, early 1970s Platinum pocket pen (I'm recovering from several cardiac issues, and it's my easiest pen to have with me right now. And I like how it writes.😁) Pelikan has had a good reputation, for good reason, since early on. Though I wish they'd bring back the 100N, the 120 has gained, deservedly, a good reputation for being a more affordable pen with no real sacrifice in quality.

I have stared at the M100 pens for years. I should look to get one fory collection. I do have an M205 which I enjoy greatly. I do wish Pelikan would consider adding a steel nib option for their larger Souvëran models. The 200 series is just a bit too small for my hands. Yes, make all of their pens with ink windows. It is one of the reasons I like demonstrator pens.
