Good review. Sizing wise though did you have to go ½ size up or did you order true to size. I’m 9.5 but to be comfortable I need to sometimes go ½ up. But cycling shoes I’m pretty new. Thank you in advance
Nice review. Changed my mind as to what I will buy. Only criticism is that it's important to purposefully mount the cleats to match the natural inclination of your feat... inward, straight, or outward. My feat naturally point slightly outward. If I mount the cleats straight or inward, it will cause my knee and hip to twist and eventually cause damage. While the detail is a little much for an unboxing, it referring viewers to a how to correctly mount and adjust cleats video would be appropriate to make your viewers aware that how you mount your cleats is important. Again, thank you for making this video, I will cancel my order for standard shoes and upgrade to the Altos. Thank you!
I'm a fan of Peloton but their shoes are crap. That outdated look pedal and cleat plus the shoes are uncomfortable, creating stress hot spots where they don't fit well at all, as well as being hot and sweaty. Switched pedals and cleats to Shimano -- smooth and easy clip in and out. Switched shoes to much less expensive, much more comfortable Giros which were half the price of Peloton crap.
I loved the Nike SuperRep but they did eventually give up like most reviews say. Got Shimano IC1 but I feel like the I’m slipping when I clip in. Feel like I can move my feet around too much and sliding back and forth. How do these feel?
@@chalos23 the Nikes were great while they lasted (about 6 months) and I did not like the Shimano. I’m loving these Peloton Altos so far though. They feel secure on my feet and are comfortable. Recommend a half size to a size up though.
It seems like the original shoe is easier to tighter with the ratchet clamp. I would worry about the new shoe coming loose during a ride with only one Velcro strap holding tight. Would like to hear from anyone who has used.
I may be wrong on this, but don't the original shoes not come with cleats? So the added bonus to these are that the cleats are included making the price essentially the same. Nice looking shoes. How do you think these compare with the Nike Superrep?
I had some issues with the pressure points at the ball of my foot on either side with the original shoes and I don’t have wide feet. These feel much more comfortable so far. The other thing that helps for me I think is that the alto offers half sizes and the original doesn’t. This just feels like a better fitting shoe for me. I think there is a 30 day return policy so it might be worth checking that and trying if that feels like enough time for you.
@@ablocjourney7217 oh ok thank you for your quick response. So you’re usually a 10.5 in women’s? Yeah I think I’ll order ½ size up and if too big then I’ll send back and ask for an exchange
