This is probably a dumb question: but does anybody know what the yellow pin is on some of the equipment (leg press etc) with the 0lbs, 5lbs, and 10lbs listed on it? It’s right above the pin to adjust the weights. Does that just add more weight?
33yr old 215 lbs first week of going to the gym at planet and all I’ve done is maybe 30min-1hr of cardio kinda wanna start getting into a bit of weights any recommendations
Nice, this is the most informative video on the circuit I have seen so far. For the strength training I think I going to try to find a weight I can do for 60 seconds straight, or at least do for 25 seconds rest 10, then another 25 seconds.
Thank you so much. I have been going to PF for several years and basically just using various machines. I often go back to the 30 minute version for lack of knowing what to do. I use the machines but have not used the steps. Now will do both I need cardio to work on increased lung function as I have COPD.
Without intending to, I’ve now watched both seasons 1 & 2 multiple times (3x & 2x, respectively)! 😆 Since Netflix starts the next episode immediately, it’s easy to continue watching. What’s amazing (and unexpected) is that I notice something new with each subsequent viewing-there are LAYERS to this, and I would say that this show is produced & edited well-no wasted frames. 👍
That first chest press machine...is that any harder or any easier than bench press? Like, would i be benching the same amount i'm doing on the push machine or more or less?
Hey there! That’s a great question. Even though you use the same weights on the chest press machine and bench press, you’re still activating different muscles with the bench press in your shoulders and core since you have the stabilize the weight yourself. The machine has a fixed path and supports the weight itself so it reduces the involvement of those stabilizing muscles. Also you have greater range of motion with the bench press vs. the chest press machine. Hope that helps!
Thank you! With new machines I like to sneak in early morning, the gym is usually empty. Then I can experiment a little without feeling awkward. Your videos help a lot in advance!
You’re welcome! That’s an excellent way to go about getting the machines. Totally worth waking up earlier. Happy these videos could help. Keep up the good work!
I’m going to the gym for the first time tomorrow morning and this is helping me plan. I’ve been avoiding going for years because I didn’t know how to use the machines. Thank you 🙏

I wish they had the same chest machine as you are using. They use to, but then they changed up to a screwed up machine that causes great pain in my wrists when I use heavy weight. This occurs because of how the grips are fat and tilted. You can’t keep your wrists relatively straight like the previous machine. I stopped going there.
