I purchased the Peloton Tread..... it was amazing. The classes / coaches were also amazing. However, the track stopped working after three uses. Customer service was not the greatest and it took two weeks to finally get a scheduled repair which was another six weeks out. I am returning it. Going to purchase a NordicTrack. Your reviews are very helpful. Thank you.
Keep in for all those first responders and nurses, the packages you get that co.ea with the accessories, the accessories become free if you show your ID. My wife is a nurse and she got the weights, heart ❤ rate band, and few others for free. I really enjoy this tread.
I greatly prefer the running action on the slat belt treadmills compared to the traditional treadmill belt and platform. Much more like running outside and the belt never slips. Yes the price of the Peloton is high, but if you are comparing it to other slat belt treadmills it is actually among the most affordable that I have been able to find.
That's caused me to eventually go with Peloton. I love the feel of the slat belts and can not afford to drop $8K+ on a Woodway or Technogym. My only concern is durability of the Peloton, but time will tell.
lots of negative comments. The Tread is a beautiful machine with a more modern approach to classes if you can afford it. I know a bunch of people who use it and love it to death. I will try it ... I feel like I would regret the Nordic Track. bit everyone is different. BTW, easily the most complete review of the Tread -great work. Thank you!
Love your videos. This is THE best channel for exercise bikes and treadmills. Landed on the Nordic Track Commercial 1750. Value you for money play as I am also planning to get the S22i next month and want to splurge on the larger screen for the bike. By the way, I checked on the forums and you can use a single iFit subscription across equipment which makes this an even better deal!
Slat tread vs belt makes all the difference. That is mostly what you're paying for. If I have to use a treadmill, I'll only run on a slat tread. Woodways are the best, and way more expensive, but do not have the features Peloton does.
Although it's only a 2 HP motor, I've heard it actually adjusts speeds faster than other "larger" motors, is that true? And re: their short warranty, from the Peloton site: "Peloton Tread owners (excluding owners in Puerto Rico) can purchase an optional service plan within 12 months from your date of original delivery. The purchase price for an additional 12 months of coverage under the Service Plan is $270; the purchase price for an additional 27 months of coverage under the Service Plan is $325." It's annoying to pay for extra but at least good to know it's available. Plus with many credit cards (AmEx, for example) you'll get another additional year warranty free...
Great question, and thanks for checking out our review. You can still use the motorized treadmill, as well as manual mode. We more meant there just aren't any classes or workout videos you can use without having the subscription service. Let us know if you have any further questions, thanks!
Great review! I was hoping to see more of how the classes looked on the monitor though. However, strictly commenting on the digital part, while I do like the peloton digital app is pretty awesome (the $20/month plan), I do miss having my metrics and such on screen. The treadmill classes are A LOT easier to follow along with if youre on the treadmill at a gym. So to me, the extra $20 a month is definitely worth it if you're primarily using it for strength training to get stronger at running or biking.
Hello nice review! My question is: is a little hard cushioning? Is good machine for shock absorption compared with woodway Precor landice technogym etc..?
Thanks for the suggestion. We went ahead and tested your idea, unfortunately, the Peloton Tread doesn't allow you to disengage the motor and go into full manual mode when you are at an incline. We were really hoping it worked, thanks again for the suggestion!
Duck4212 No sir when the treadmill is inclined it does not change their is always work load on treadmill if not you would just slide back must be pushed 🤔
Thanks for checking out our review. We currently don't have and Landice or Matrix video reviews but you can check out the written reviews on our website - www.treadmillreviews.com/ - We try to keep things as updated as we can but there are a lot of treadmills out there. Let us know if we can help with any other questions.
Would have been nice to see and hear this treadmill actually running. The slats change the game and a quality, efficient 2.0 motor can last longer than a cheap 3.0 motor. Also, the running surface is very important but I did not hear that mentioned. All that an intrinsically motivated person needs is a good pair of running shoes, the open road, few weights and a strong enough WHY to keep in shape. All these subscriptions, big screens, classes, etc. are becoming comical and not necessary. Like fashion, flashy new things might help with short term motivation but only until the next big thing comes along. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate my Life Fitness treadmill on rainy days. No big screens here- just built like a tank, strong motor and a very nice running deck...also about half the price.
That 2.0HP motor is gonna crap out in a year after the warranty expires! It seems like such a big oversight. Even 999$ treadmills come with a 3.0CHP motor. Heck, the cheap ass sub 500$ treadmill you buy on Amazon which crap out after a year come with a 2-2.5HP (not CHP) motor. Motor is the heart of the treadmill and a weak one will negate any positives of a treadmill.
motor really doesn’t matter all the norditrack and proforms coming with 4.0 motors go to service fast than peleton 2.0 motor ..by the way Matrix has the best motors made by Johnson
Comparing a slat machine like this to a traditional belt (ie Nordictrack) is apples to oranges. Peloton has similar or same HP as the Woodway 4Front. The build of these machines doesn’t require the HP traditional belt machines do, as the have an AC powered motor, which is inherently superior and more durable. Not including this or being aware of it kind of invalidates this review.
Good review, I think that efficient belt may not require a more powerful motor but that super short warranty by itself is a deal breaker for me. I feel bad for the people who just bought this and saw this review lol! I’d be sick to my stomach.
I just purchased on yesterday. Purchased the extended warranty. I will try it for 30 days. I bought it primarily for the tread. I hate tread belts. Hopefully this little motor doesn’t give out as my wife 2 kids and myself will be using.
New trend is for everyone to be inside in front of a screen. No thank you. I'll just walk and enjoy the scenery while saving over 5 big ones $$$$$ and my sanity.
Decent review, however, the presenter's overly soft, yet nasal and gravelly voice really made it difficult to stay with this. Not a pleasant voice to listen to. The presenter's voice and tone seemed like someone who was doing this review 10 minutes after being served divorce papers. I would avoid further reviews by this presenter.
I thought her voice was beautiful and sweet sounding. I loved the softness of it. By contrast, i found the voice/tone of your comment harsh, ugly, and despicable.
